AR Rahman was admitted to Apollo Hospital in Chennai after feeling unwell following his return from London.

According to medical reports, he was suffering from dehydration due to fasting during Ramadan.

The musician sought medical attention after experiencing weakness and discomfort.

He was admitted to the hospital on March 15, 2025, where he underwent an ECG and echocardiogram.

Doctors confirmed that Rahman’s health was stable, and there was no serious cause for concern.

His team later clarified that his visit was primarily for dehydration and neck pain from travel.

They dismissed the false reports that suggested he was hospitalised due to chest pain.

His son, AR Ameen, shared an update on Instagram, assuring fans that Rahman was recovering well.

He wrote: “To all our dear fans, family, and well-wishers, I sincerely thank you for your love, prayers, and support.

“My father felt a bit weak due to dehydration, hence we went ahead and did some routine tests, but I’m happy to share that he is doing well now.

“Your kind words and blessings mean a lot to us. We truly appreciate your concern and continued support. Much love and gratitude to you all!”

Rahman’s hospitalisation had triggered concern among fans and industry colleagues.

With confirmation of his stable condition, well-wishers flooded social media with supportive messages.

Many expressed relief, while others wished him a speedy recovery.

A user said: “Thank God he is alright now and got back to home.”

One commented: “Wishing you a speedy recovery Sir.”

Another wrote:

“Prayers for you Chief! Get well soon.”

An earlier report confirmed that all medical tests conducted at the hospital came back normal.

Given the positive test results, he was discharged the same day.

AR Rahman has had a busy schedule in recent weeks, which may have contributed to his exhaustion.

In February 2025, he performed alongside Ed Sheeran at a concert in Chennai, a collaboration that received widespread media attention.

Shortly after that, the singer attended the music launch of Chaava, further adding to his workload.

Despite this health scare, AR Rahman is expected to resume his commitments soon.

Rahman’s team has reassured fans that he is doing well and remains in good spirits.

With his recovery progressing smoothly, admirers can look forward to his upcoming projects without concern.
