"AI swipes the gender of Bollywood actors."
An artist has used artificial intelligence to show how some Bollywood actors would look as women.
Digital creator Sahid frequently uses AI and shares his creations on social media, leaving netizens stunned.
He has now gender-swapped several of Bollywood’s leading actors using Midjourney.
His creation of Amitabh Bachchan saw the legendary star in a beige saree and adorned with gold jewellery, including earrings and a maang tikka.
‘Amita Bachchan’ also had dark eyeliner and dark purple lipstick.
The image was completed with the actor’s recognisable grey hair with a centre parting.
Shah Rukh Khan was reimagined as Shahzadi Khan and had rose-coloured lipstick, mascara on the eyelashes and impeccable eyebrows.
The picture featured Shah Rukh’s hairstyle but was slightly longer, in keeping with the gender swap.
Varun Dhawan became Varsha Dhawan and was dressed in a plunging outfit.
Long tied-back brunette hair, hooped earrings and a necklace completed Varsha’s look.
Aamir Khan’s gender-swapped image featured a distinctive hairstyle.
It was short on one side and was loosely crimped on the other as it cascaded down Aamira Khan’s face.
Light makeup and gold earrings finished off the AI image.
Tiger Shroff was dressed in denim and had flawless makeup, consisting of light pink lipstick and blush on the cheeks.
‘Tigress Shroff’ had dangling hooped earrings and her brunette locks were left in soft waves.
Both Salman Khan and Shahid Kapoor were also depicted as women thanks to AI.
The two stars had long dark hair, although Shahida’s hair featured highlights.
Both pictures showed the stars with faces full of makeup, including dark lipstick and smoky eyeshadow.
Sahid also reimagined the likes of Rajpal Yadav, Akshay Kumar and Pankaj Tripathi as women.
In the caption, Sahid wrote: “AI swipes the gender of Bollywood actors.”
Unsurprisingly, the post attracted a lot of attention.
One impressed fan wrote: “Such a beautiful piece of artwork. I love the idea behind it.”
Another said: “Amazing work.”
Some were mesmerised by how good the stars looked as women.
One said: “Tiger Shroff is stunning as a man and as a woman.
A fan commented: “Shahid looks stunning, even as a woman.”
A third said: “Tigeress and Salma are good-looking.”
Others felt the images made the actors resemble other stars.
A netizen said: “Salman Khan looks like Chitrangada Singh.”
“Amitabh Bachchan is looking like Rekha.”
Believing Shah Rukh looked like his wife Gauri, a user said:
“SRK looks like his wife.”
Some wanted the artist to reimagine other Bollywood stars as women, writing:
“Make other actors too… Ajay [Devgn], Hrithik [Roshan], John [Abraham], Ranveer [Singh], Saif [Ali Khan].”
Sahid has previously used AI to reimagine how Indian cricketers would look if they were footballers and how the judges of Shark Tank India would like if they were babies.
