It has been an eventful time for Zayn Malik of late, following his first solo tour.
The singer has been performing across the UK and the US, delighting fans and keeping spirits high.
On February 8, 2025, as Zayn Malik wrapped the tour, he posted a picture on Instagram to mark the end of his first solo concert.
He captioned the post: “And that’s a wrap for my first ever solo tour across the UK and the US!
“To every single squad, my friends and family, to my whole team, thank you for believing in me, being patient, and for the unwavering amount of love and support you’ve given me throughout the years.
“We got there! Big love.”
The post was flooded with positive comments as fans rushed to congratulate Zayn.
One user wrote: “So proud of everything you achieved!
“Watching you grow so confident, show after show, was really the best thing to witness.
“I hope to see you soon on another leg tour!”
Another fan said: “Thank you, Zayn. We will always wait for you. [I] had the most magical time at the shows.”
A third added: “So proud of you. Thank you for sharing your music with us always and for singing your heart out!”
It has also been a tough year for Zayn Malik. In October 2024, his fellow One Direction singer, Liam Payne, died after falling from a balcony in Argentina.
During his tour, Zayn paid tribute to his former bandmate in every show.
Along with Zayn and Liam, One Direction also comprised Niall Horan, Harry Styles, and Louis Tomlinson.
Zayn was the first to depart the band in 2015. After a year of continuing as a four-piece, the band ultimately split indefinitely in 2016.
However, it seems that Liam’s death brought the band closer once again.
During one of Zayn’s final shows, Louis was seen in the audience as Zayn announced:
“Tonight’s something special. An old friend of mine is here for me tonight.”
An insider also reported that the band members have decided to move past any previous animosity in the wake of Liam’s death.
The insider said: “They’ve put their silly squabbles behind them because they now realise life is too short and they should concentrate on the important things in life.
“Liam’s death has crystallised those thoughts for them, and they now realise they spent years not talking over a silly, school spat on social media.
“They are pretty embarrassed about the reasons they fell out.”
In January 2025, it was also reported that One Direction could reunite on stage at the 2025 Brit Awards as a tribute to Liam Payne.
A source said: “The tribute to Liam at this year’s awards show has caused a real buzz and speculation that the remaining One Direction bandmates could finally come back together again on stage.
“It would be an entirely fitting way to honour Liam, and talks are already underway about how to make this segment of the Brits unforgettable.
“It’s still in the very early stages of preparation, and the finer details are still being worked out, with official approaches to be made in coming weeks.
“But there are set to be a mixture of performances, tasteful photo and video montages and a live orchestra.”
