"You should call Boney Kapoor for this.”
Fardeen Khan has revealed whether he will be part of the No Entry 2 cast.
The much-loved comedy No Entry, starring Anil Kapoor, Salman Khan, and Fardeen Khan, captured audiences with its slapstick humour in 2005.
Fans have eagerly awaited the sequel, which producer Boney Kapoor and director Anees Bazmee had previously announced.
However, production is yet to begin due to unresolved casting decisions.
In a recent update, Fardeen Khan confirmed that the sequel is indeed in progress.
Fans of the first film remain excited, though many are curious about the changes ahead for this long-awaited follow-up.
Fardeen Khan, who recently returned to acting in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Heeramandi, reflected on his experience in No Entry.
He shared that it was his first major comedic role, where he played a goofy character – very different from his own self-image.
Fardeen talked about how Boney Kapoor believed in him.
He explained: It really freed me up because I had to really let go.
“I was a bit hesitant about doing that but [it was because of] Boney Kapoor’s belief in me.
“He saw me doing some of a couple of such scenes in Khushi.
“He said ‘Fardeen, you’re right for this role,’ and I was like ‘really?’.
“Because it was a remake of Charlie Chaplin (2002) and my role was played by Prabhu Deva.
“Of course, I interpreted it quite differently.”
Fardeen Khan fondly recalled working with Anil Kapoor and Salman Khan in No Entry.
He noted that the film succeeded thanks to their combined efforts.
Fardeen admitted: “Comedy is the hardest genre because you can’t force the audience to laugh.
“Boney also put together a great team starting with Anees Bazmee who is the king of that genre.”
However, No Entry 2 will feature a completely new cast.
Fardeen Khan confirmed that the sequel will have a new cast and he will not be part of it.
Fardeen said:
“It has been announced, but we are not in it. It’s got a whole new star cast. So, damn it!”
“You should call Boney Kapoor for this.”
Admitting his disappointment, he added:
“Wish we could have been a part of it, but it wasn’t meant to be.
“I have nothing but love for Anees and Boney. Just don’t mess it up.”
