"The beautiful view of the Dubai skyline"
Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri Khan’s astonishing villa named Jannat located in the Palm Jumeirah, Dubai is worth a staggering $2.8m (£2,145,416.00).
In 2019, fans were treated to a glimpse inside SRK’s home named Mannat. Gauri Khan, who is a high-end interior designer, gave a sneak-peak of their home.
For the Vogue India’s Casa Vogue edition, Gauri allowed a view of her walk-in wardrobe, the terrace, the master bedroom, personal quarters and expansive entertainment spaces.
There is no doubt that SRK and Gauri live by the rule, live life king size and it seems their Jannat home follows suit from Mannat.
Jannat is located at K Frond of Palm Jumeirah which is the largest artificial archipelago in the world.
The villa was gifted to SRK by Nakheel, who is a Dubai-based property developer, as a present in September 2007. This was after he gained approval from the Reserve Bank of India.
According to GQ India, it is reported Jannat stands on 14,000 sq. ft plot which spreads over 8,500 sq. ft.
The interiors of the couple’s villa are highly secured while the exteriors are open to guests and visitors.
Reportedly, Jannat boasts six bedrooms, two remote-controlled garages, a private pool, beach facilities, a view of the Dubai skyline and more.
Speaking to Gulf News in 2015, Gauri revealed what makes Jannat so appealing to the family. She said:
“The year-end is a time for togetherness, family and celebrations. The UAE is one of our favourite getaways as a family.
“It’s an easy flight and Dubai has so much for everyone to do, it’s a lovely reunion. Also, we have many friends here and so it’s lovely to catch up.”
Gauri was further asked about her involvement in choosing Jannat and the factors she kept in mind. She replied:
“We all love Dubai and visit often so it makes sense to have a home here.
“I love the exclusivity of the villas, the beautiful view of the Dubai skyline and the facilities from the beaches to its clubs and resorts.
“It’s a unique place to buy a home. Our home in Dubai is a beach house so it’s more casual and not formal in its tone. It’s a holiday home.
“We are mostly in the pool or on the beach or in the sun. It’s an outdoor place for the family.”
“So, there are mud bikes, a boat, football posts and the pool is heated.”
Gauri continued to mention her and SRK’s favourite part of Jannat. She disclosed:
“There are many. But we both love the couch in this one corner in the living room that overlooks the garden and the sea. It’s a lovely place to relax with a cup of tea.”
Gauri, who is an interior designer certainly knows her way around designing a home. Recently, she shared her design of a lounge area on Instagram.
Revealed how she styled Jannat, Gauri said:
“We have retained the villa’s original floor, ceiling and wall covers. I have, over time, styled the villa with pieces of furniture from my travels and those created at my design studio.”
The couple who are dotting parents to three children Aryan, Suhana and AbRam are often seen spending time together as a family.
Gauri was asked about the children’s rooms in the villa. She said:
“The room details such as flooring and wall covers were pre-designed in the villa. We’ve personalised it for the children based on interest.
“So, Aryan’s room has a massive TV and that is the focus of attention because he loves his video games and spends most of his time there.
“AbRam is little and spends most of his day on the beach, while Suhana loves being by the pool.”
Explaining the concept of her designs for Jannat, Gauri said:
“My design preference tends towards warmth, comfort and minimalism. This is a place where the family converges for holidays, kids are back from boarding school and so on, so the focus is ease.”
Undoubtedly, the gorgeous Jannat villa in Dubai is certainly one of the merits SRK has achieved through his years of hard work and resilience.
