"This type of comment is not suitable for a public figure"
YouTuber Saad ur Rehman, better known as Ducky Bhai, has come under fire after he made a controversial joke.
Fans of Korean boyband BTS slammed Ducky for equating the K-Pop group with the coronavirus.
He made the supposed joke on a video titled ‘I AM LOOKING FOR A GIRL!!!’. During the video, he talks about an illness which is bigger than the coronavirus.
However, it becomes controversial when he mentions the deadly virus. As Ducky says “coronavirus”, a picture of BTS appears for a second.
Fans of the band which call themselves ‘The BTS Army’ were not happy and took to Twitter to slam Ducky, deeming the comment as distasteful.
Some even called the apparent comparison racist.
A BTS fan group based in Pakistan shared a clip of the moment and called for the video to be reported.

The Tweet said: “A Pakistani YouTuber (Ducky Bhai) referred to BTS as coronavirus which is extremely racist/disturbing even as a normal human being.
“This type of comment is not suitable for a public figure or anyone to make. Lets mass report his yt video.”
Others voiced their anger towards Ducky.
One person commented: “Ducky Bhai racist.”
Ducky ended up seeing the comments and decided to take action, however, he was the subject of more criticism when he only blurred the picture instead of deleting it.
One user stated: “He’s blurred their faces now but BTS’s picture is still there. He should’ve removed the picture instead of blurring them.”
Even after giving an explanation, Ducky was slammed. He said that it was a mistake by his editor. This led to social media users thinking that Ducky was throwing his editor under the bus.
Alright so there was a 1 second picture of BTS in my video that was left by my editor. And people went crazy after i posted that. So I've removed the whole picture. Sorry if you got offended. Calm down bruh.

One person called out Ducky for putting the blame on his editor.
“Left by my editor? DON’T PUT THIS ON PEOPLE WORKING WITH YOU.
“Only you are responsible for each and every upload. Your channel says ‘Ducky Bhai’ not ‘Ducky Bhai and editors’. Racist!”
Another person said: “Ducky Bhai stop throwing your editor under the bus= challenge failed.”
After his apology, Ducky edited his Twitter bio so that it said “number 1 BTS fan account”.
This only irritated social media users even more. Many felt he was trying to mock them rather than offering a sincere apology.
One person wrote: “Okay so about this whole Ducky Bhai issue, I’m more than sure that the fact he apologised was just another act of mocking us, as you can see on his profile bio now.
“So those ARMYs praising him and suggesting him BTS songs to listen please stop interacting with him any further.”
The apparent jab especially annoyed one person who privately messaged Ducky. The YouTuber promised that he deleted the BTS picture before changing his bio.
