YouTuber Ducky Bhai was granted bail by the Lahore High Court in a case related to the promotion of illegal gambling applications.
Justice Shehram Sarwar Chaudhary approved the bail against a surety of PKR 1 million, though Ducky Bhai has not yet been released from official custody.
The popular YouTuber has been in detention since his arrest on August 17, 2025, at Lahore airport by the NCCIA’s Lahore branch.
The case was initially registered under sections 13, 14, 25, and 26 of the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act, 2016.
Additional charges were framed under sections 294 B and 420 of the Pakistan Penal Code, which relate to offering prizes in trade and cheating allegations.
The FIR stated that Ducky Bhai, along with other social media influencers, promoted gambling and betting applications to the public for financial benefit.
Authorities alleged that many people invested their hard-earned money in these apps.
Due to the promotions by Ducky, many suffered significant financial losses.
The complaint mentioned specific applications, including Binomo, 1xBet, Bet 365, and B9 Game, which were promoted on Ducky Bhai’s YouTube channel.
In total, 27 video links were listed in the FIR, although several of them are no longer accessible online for viewers.
Ducky Bhai had previously applied for bail at the district and sessions court as well as before a judicial magistrate, but those applications were rejected.
After these denials, he approached the Lahore High Court, arguing that he had not received any prior notice from the NCCIA before his arrest.
Earlier in October 2025, nine officers from the NCCIA were booked for allegedly misusing authority.
They allegedly attempted to extort money from Ducky Bhai and accepted bribes during the investigation.
The high court issued notices to the NCCIA for submission of arguments regarding Ducky Bhai’s bail application before granting his release.
Supporters of the YouTuber raised questions about the fairness of the investigation.
They also expressed concerns regarding the authorities who were involved in the arrest and detention process.
This case has gained significant attention due to Ducky Bhai’s large online following.
While bail has been granted, Ducky Bhai remains in custody pending completion of release formalities, and the case is expected to continue in court.
