"No one deserves what he went through."
Somy Ali addressed the incident where gunshots were fired outside Salman Khan’s residence.
On April 14, 2024, two unidentified people fired shots outside the superstar’s house.
Somy came out condemning the attack.
She said: “I won’t wish upon my enemy what he has been through.
“All said and done, no one deserves what he went through. My prayers are with him.
“No matter what has happened, let bygones be bygones.
“I would never ever wish something like that to happen to anyone, be it Salman, Shah Rukh or my neighbour.
“I would never want Salman or his family to endure any pain, and I wish him all the best.
“When my mother and I learned about this incident, we were shocked.
“We pray that he is not harmed. He and his family always have our blessings.
“Everyone is image-conscious, be it you, me, Salman, Shah Rukh or anybody.
“So, he did whatever he felt was right on his part.
“But currently, my focus is on what he is going through. Nobody deserves what he is experiencing right now.”
NCP-SCP leader Supriya Sule also reacted to the incident and said:
“It’s extraordinarily unfortunate as the area where Salman Khan lives is a popular area and his family is clearly under pressure.
“It’s a complete failure of the Home Ministry.
“We live in Pune and look what is happening here, it’s a very educated place where people live in peace and harmony, but here also, the crime has gone up.
“It’s not me making the allegations but the data given by the government of India for Maharashtra.”
Somy Ali and Salman Khan were rumoured to be dating in the 1990s.
In 2023, Somy termed her relationship with Salman as the “worst eight years” of her life.
Delving into her relationship with him, she explained:
“The eight years spent with him were the worst years of my entire existence.
“In addition to tons of affairs and flings, he would constantly belittle me by calling me ugly, stupid, and dumb.
“Not a day went by that he wouldn’t make me feel worthless and small.
“He would not acknowledge me as his girlfriend in public for years, and when he finally did, he would insult me in front of his friends and berate me nonstop.
“I have no qualms in saying that given his treatment of me.”
“I chose to have affairs, which are essentially defined as a search for someone who would care for me and love me.”
On the work front, Salman Khan has recently teamed up with AR Murugadoss for Sikandar.
