"What angle does Shamita look like aunty"
Shamita Shetty’s mum, Sunanda, has called out Karan Kundrra for calling her daughter “aunty” on Bigg Boss 15.
In the latest episode of the hit reality show on Tuesday, October 5, 2021, contestants were made to undergo a jungle task.
During the task, actor Pratik Sehajpal tore up part of a map, causing some of the contestants to barge in the house and all hell to break loose.
Shetty did not appear to be happy with the aggressive outburst.
Meanwhile, Nishant Bhatt called those living in the jungle area “classless”.
Kundrra then tells Bhatt that this attitude towards those on his side wouldn’t be tolerated and that he should also inform ‘aunty’ of this, referring to Shamita Shetty.
The actor is 36-years-old while Shetty is 42-years-old, a six-year age gap.
This did not sit well with some social media users, including the actress’ mother Sunanda.
She tweeted: “What angle does Shamita look like aunty to Karan Kundrra??
“AGE SHAMING and physical attacks NOT ACCEPTABLE and must be curbed with some punitive measure.”
Shetty then added thoughtful and angry face emojis before going to tag the show’s host Salman Khan.
Netizens also had a mix of reactions to the latest episode of Bigg Boss 15.

Another wrote: “Shamita Shetty, not aunty. Karan Kundrra shame on you, mind your tongue, you are unbelievable, are you mad.
“Shamita, not aunty but you’re definitely uncle.”

One user did not see why the ‘aunty’ was such an issue, writing:
“If a five-year-old child would have called her aunty, no one would have any issue.
“But if a man who is five years younger than her uses the word ‘aunty’, it is called age shaming.”
“Grow up people, grow up.”
The latest season of the controversial show began on Saturday, October 2, 2021, and is currently being broadcast on Colors TV.
Speaking of Bigg Boss 15, Salman Khan previously said:
“The facilities that contestants will get this time will be lesser than before.”
“They will only get a tiny survival kit, they will be punished, and luxury budgets will be slashed.”
The actor has been associated with the programme ever since season 4 in 2010 and has been its highest-paid host ever.
It is believed that Khan will be paid a whopping Rs. 350 Crore (£34 million) for 14 weeks of work this year.
Shetty also appeared on Bigg Boss OTT between Sunday, August 8, 2021, and Saturday, September 18, 2021.
This year was the premiere of the spin-off series which was ultimately won by television actress Divya Agarwal.
Shamita Shetty is the younger sister of Shilpa Shetty and but is also a successful actress in her own right.
Shetty made her acting debut in the romantic drama, Mohabbatein (2000), which also starred Shah Rukh Khan and Amitabh Bachchan.
She most recently appeared in the drama film The Tenant (2020).
