Shahrukh Khan is filming for his new movie as a ‘True Punjabi’.

Based in Punjab, it is only fitting Khan should be filming as a ‘true Punjabi’.

To demonstrate just how Punjabi he is during filming, Khan tweeted a series of images. The images show him dressed in traditional Punjabi garb, complete with turban:

The ‘true Punjabi’ look that Khan is going for, seems to be one shared by his co-star Anushka Sharma.

As the images show, Sharma is dressed in a Salwar Kameez.

This tweet, comes hot off the heels of a series of photos taken on set by members of the public. The photos show Khan dressed in ‘true Punjabi’ style, and also show him and Sharma preparing for some dance routine.

Fans seem to love Khan in this traditional attire. @JacyKhan tweeted:

“Haayo Rabba mera Sohna Sardar Inna Sona ke ki dassa vaari jawa tuade katiaana andaaz vekh ke My Punjab Power, always lighting up my life Ji.”

The film, which as of yet has no name, has shot scenes in Punjab, Prague, Amsterdam, Lisbon and Budapest.

These images follow an interview Khan did with IndiaTimes, where he spoke about his career and his hopes for the future:

“I have never been an insecure person. I have been in this business for long as an actor and personally as well. I feel actors and films are like water, they will find their level.

“I have never made a film in 25 years, except perhaps one, for any other reason than to just entertain people and make them happy.

“To me, the bottom line is, there’s no point doing a film if people don’t like it. I have never had reasons to be insecure. There will be a film which will do badly, but there are so many of them which have done so well, too.”

Khan went onto add: “So when you look at it, yes you hear smatterings of conversations. But I have been hearing it for 22 years that my career is over.”

“Everyone keeps saying it, but people don’t understand the business, the intensity that most actors and actresses use to entertain people. I am just very happy releasing my films.”

“If they like it, they will do well. If they don’t, then I feel sad that I wasn’t able to deliver my prime goal which is to touch your life for two-and-a-half hours.”

From the interview and tweets, it seems like Shahrukh Khan is having a great time, and will surely continue to perform and entertain his fans for many years to come.
