"I would also like to say that every woman, as said by Ram Gopal Varma, should learn to give pleasure."
Bollywood actresses Rakhi Sawant and Sunny Leone have responded to Ram Gopal Varma’s (RGV) controversial Women’s Day tweet. And their comments couldn’t be more different!
Rakhi Sawant supported the director and suggested every woman should aim to pleasure their husbands.
However, while Sunny Leone first laughed off the Women’s Day tweet, she posted a video and suggested people should “choose their words wisely”.
The drama began when Ram Gopal Varma posted a controversial, derogatory tweet. The tweet, created on 8th March 2017, referenced International Women’s Day. Mentioning the actress Sunny Leone, he said:
I wish all the women in the world give men as much happiness as Sunny Leone gives

However, the director landed in massive trouble. Many criticised him for making the comment and referencing Sunny Leone in it.
RGV apologised the next day saying:
Was just expressing my feelings but I apologise to all who were offended due to my unintended insensitive tweets in context of women's day

The media asked Rakhi Sawant on her opinions of Ram Gopal Varma’s tweet. Replying to the reporters she said:
“Whatever Ram Gopal Varma said is right. I am with him, where he has praised Sunny Leone. I would also like to say that every woman, as said by Ram Gopal Varma, should learn to give pleasure.”
She also added: “Women should let go their responsibilities of kitchen and should take coaching classes of how to give pleasure.”
Rakhi Sawant also reportedly said that as a woman devotes all her time to raising children, a man can easily forget about his marriage when he sees a beautiful woman.
Sunny Leone responded in a completely different manner. One cannot blame her considering she was the subject of the tweet. Initially replying to RGV’s Woman Day’s tweet with a cryptically simple tweet of just a smiley face emoji, she soon revealed her true opinions.
On 9th March 2017, Sunny posted a video onto Twitter. While the tweet didn’t outrightly say the reason behind the video, it’s not hard to guess why.
Change only happens when we have one voice, so let's choose your words wisely! Peace and love!! pic.twitter.com/B3SSX3fgaN

While Sunny Leone receives support from her fans, Rakhi’s approval of RGV’s tweet will no doubt face criticism from other Bollywood stars and fans.
