Kangana Ranaut has fired back at Rakhi Sawant after the latter made controversial remarks about her and Smriti Irani.

The controversy erupted following an episode of the podcast MK Talks, where Rakhi addressed Prime Minister Narendra Modi directly.

During the conversation, Rakhi said: “Why is Modi ji looking here and there?

“What will he get from Kangana apart from bones?

“Modi ji, what have these Smriti, Kangana and all these women given you that you made them ministers?

“So whatever they gave you, I can also give you.”

Her remarks immediately drew widespread outrage and criticism from multiple quarters across social media platforms.

Kangana responded sharply through her Instagram Stories, calling Rakhi and others like her “unsuccessful and bitter.”

She wrote: “Not just her but most unsuccessful and bitter people are quick to character lynch successful women to satisfy and justify their jealousy/envy, failures and ego.

“High time we stop being vulnerable to such frequent, intentional attacks and public character assassination.

“We must stop feeling humiliated and hurt and stop over-explaining ourselves.”

She then directed a direct and scathing message at those she perceives as attacking her through insinuation and character assassination.

“So yes my loves!! Even you are ready to do everything for success, but guess what!!

“Unfortunately, no one needs anything from you.

“Remember, all your favours combined never got you even a sweeper’s job.”

“Even that needs some quality and talent, so be rest assured, favours or no favours, you aren’t going anywhere.

“So sit down, watch my reels and keep crying.”

This is not the first time the two have clashed publicly, with Rakhi previously calling Kangana a “gutter mouth” for speaking against the CJP protest.

At that earlier juncture, Kangana had addressed not just Rakhi but several other critics who had aimed at her publicly.

She had said: “I see such people every day, whether it is Ashutosh Rana, who says that I bark like a dog; or Sonu Sood, who says that I should learn how to behave.

“People like Rakhi Sawant, who make all kinds of vulgar comments about my character.

“And Taapsee Pannu, who keeps insulting my parents, my upbringing and my background.”

She had also added in that earlier statement:

“I have only one message for these people.

“If you haven’t achieved even 1% of my success, then I am not interested in hearing your opinions on me.

“All failed, unwanted people abusing me all the time.”

Reacting to Rakhi’s most recent remarks, Kangana also made clear who she is and is not willing to receive criticism from going forward:

“These hungry people cannot comment on me, and I will not listen to them…

“Only those who are more successful than me, I will listen to them.”

The statement drew both applause and criticism online, with supporters praising her for standing her ground.
