a joyful and entertaining family production

Planet Omar is set to make its world premiere on stage, bringing Zanib Mian’s much-loved children’s book series to life for audiences across the UK.

The new production follows Omar, an eight-year-old British-Pakistani Muslim boy whose wild imagination often lands him in unusual situations.

The story begins as Omar and his family move to a new neighbourhood, where he must navigate the challenges of starting at a new school, dealing with an unfriendly neighbour and facing a bully.

As he adjusts to his new surroundings, Omar finds support from his family, best friend Charlie and an unexpected dragon.

Together, they help him discover that his imagination is not a weakness but one of his greatest strengths.

Justin Kendal-Sadiq stars as Omar while Charlie is played by Izzy Coward.

Other cast members include Mustafa Chaudhry, Emaan Durrani, Joanna Holden and Zoe Iqbal.

The stage adaptation promises a colourful and imaginative adventure filled with larger-than-life moments.

Audiences can expect everything from a gigantic piece of cheese and walking food to dreams that come to life on stage.

Producers describe the show as a joyful and entertaining family production that combines humour, warmth and puppetry. Alongside its fantastical elements, the story explores themes of empathy, community and resilience, making it relevant for audiences of all ages.
