"They said this career is not good. Leave it."
Pakistani child actress Nooray Zeeshan has revealed that she is now being homeschooled and studying privately, choosing to step away from traditional schooling.
At 15 years old, Nooray explained that formal education was never something she enjoyed.
Her decision comes as she shifts focus more firmly toward her acting career.
In a candid interview, the young star spoke openly about her experiences in school, which she described as deeply unpleasant.
She said she never got along with her teachers and had often faced disapproval from them because of her involvement in showbiz.
Nooray recalled: “They said this career is not good. Leave it. It is bringing a bad impact to the school’s name.”
She further shared that some teachers went as far as to criticise her professional choices and question her values.
The situation was worsened by bullying from senior students, which Nooray said added to the discomfort she felt at school.
These difficult encounters led her to reassess the role of formal schooling in her life.
She admitted: “I am not on good terms with any of my teachers.
“I feel like I can learn so much more from life and real-world experiences than in a classroom.”
Despite these challenges, Nooray emphasised that her mother remains supportive of her education.
While her acting career is now her main focus, she continues to study privately by selecting subjects and sitting for exams.
Nooray continued: “My mom wants me to finish it. I am studying privately. It’s the same thing and I am giving exams.”
She also spoke about how her earnings from drama projects are handled.
Nooray explained that all payments go directly to her mother, who manages her finances.
She added: “But whenever I need money, she gives it to me.”
The interview, although touching on serious subjects, included moments of light-heartedness and humour.
Many viewers admired Nooray’s maturity and resilience despite her young age.
A fan said:
“She seems so mature and level-headed for such a young age.”
Another wrote: “Pretty inside and outside. Love her confidence.”
Her interview has sparked conversations about how schools treat students with non-traditional careers and the pressure many young artists face.
Nooray Zeeshan continues to work actively in television, building her name in the entertainment industry while balancing her education from home.
