"We received several offers to work together"
After a long break from sharing the screen, Nidra Neha and Prantar Dastidar are set to reunite in Opekkha, a drama directed by Preety Dutta.
The much-anticipated project will premiere on March 26, 2025, on the Purnota E-Tainment YouTube channel.
The on-screen and real-life couple first gained attention with Antonagar, a Chorki Original that marked their acting debuts.
The series, which premiered in June 2023, not only introduced them as co-stars but also sparked a personal connection.
It led to their marriage a few months later.
Since then, the couple has collaborated on advertisements but has not appeared together in any drama or web series.
With Opekkha, fans will finally see them back on screen as a pair.
Speaking about their return, Nidra Neha revealed that they had received multiple offers to work together, but circumstances did not align.
She shared: “We received several offers to work together, but things didn’t quite fall into place initially.
“However, recently, I have worked on multiple projects with Prantar, with Opekkha being the first to release.”
Nidra also mentioned that she had signed several projects following Adhunik Bangla Hotel, an anthology series by Kazi Asad.
However, due to her father’s illness, she had to stay abroad for several months, leading to delays in her work.
With Opekkha, she is making a much-awaited return to acting.
Prantar Dastidar shed light on his character, stating that he plays a first-year university student who is deeply kind-hearted and always helpful.
He explained: “While assisting someone in a particular situation, he crosses paths with a girl, and their bond gradually deepens.”
However, the girl struggles with the idea of falling in love under such circumstances.
Just as their connection begins to take shape, an unexpected incident at the university changes their lives completely.
Aside from Opekkha, Prantar is also gearing up for the release of Jimmi, a web series directed by Ashfaque Nipun.
The series features Prantar alongside Jaya Ahsan, and he described working with the celebrated director as a thrilling experience.
Prantar and Nidra revealed that they often discuss their work, watch films together, and engage in deep conversations about storytelling and performance.
While they agree on many aspects, they also have differing perspectives, which enriches their discussions.
The couple has multiple projects lined up for Eid, though the final release schedule is yet to be confirmed.
With Opekkha marking their long-awaited on-screen reunion, fans are eager to see their chemistry unfold once again.
