Ibrahim Ali Khan is making headlines, not for his acting debut in Netflix’s Nadaaniyan, but for an alleged online attack on a Pakistani film critic.

The actor was accused of sending a threatening message to critic Tamur Iqbal.

Tamur gained attention for his harsh review of Nadaaniyan.

He criticised Ibrahim’s acting and mocked his “huge nose” in his post.

The review is no longer available, but Tamur later shared a screenshot of a message he appeared to receive from Ibrahim.

According to the post, Ibrahim wrote: “Tamur almost like Taimoor… you got my brother’s name. Guess what you don’t got? His face. You ugly piece of trash.

“Since you can’t keep your words to yourself, don’t bother, they’re irrelevant just like you.

“Ugly goddamn piece of s**t I feel bad for you and your family – and if I see you on the streets one day, I’ll make sure I leave you uglier than you are – you walking piece of scum.”

Replying to the message, Tamur said: “Hahahahahaha that’s my man. See this is the guy I want to see in the movie. Not that fake Cornetto mushy cringy human.

“But hey yes that nose job comment was in bad taste. Rest I totally own up. Massive fan of your dad (Saif Ali Khan). Don’t let him down.”

Tamur captioned the post: “Saif Ali Khan’s son Ibrahim Ali Khan’s outstanding raging response from his verified account on my Insta story after I mocked his debut movie Nadaaniyan.

“Dear Ibrahim, let’s just treat it as good banter in the spirit of fun. Good luck to you, dude. Hope you do well in future.”

Ibrahim Ali Khan’s apparent reaction has divided social media.

Some defended him, arguing that Tamur’s review was unnecessarily personal.

One user wrote: “But you mocked his nose first. Don’t play the victim card now.”

Another added: “You can review his acting… but the nose job comment was unnecessary.”

A user asked: “If you totally own up to what you said, then why did you delete your review?”

Another remarked:

“Your bio says ‘film critic’. Why would you comment on his features?”

However, others slammed Ibrahim Ali Khan, with one writing:

“Omg how classless he behaved.”

Another posted: “Here before it blows up. The entitlement of these talentless nepos. What a shame.”

Meanwhile, Nadaaniyan released on Netflix on March 7, 2025.

The film centres on Pia Jaisingh (Khushi Kapoor), a privileged schoolgirl who hires Arjun Mehta (Ibrahim Ali Khan) to pretend to be her boyfriend to get back at her family and classmates.
