Mehwish Hayat and Yo Yo Honey Singh have excited fans with a potential collaboration after it came to light that the pair had met up recently.
Honey Singh uploaded a photo on Instagram where he is standing next to Mehwish and captioned the photograph: “With Zinda dil.”
He ended the caption with the hashtags ‘sufi’, ‘poetry’, and ‘music’.
Mehwish commented on the post: “It was an absolute pleasure meeting you finally.”
She re-shared the post on her Instagram Story and wrote:
“It was an absolute pleasure meeting you finally. You are an incredible powerhouse of talent and a true inspiration.”
Mehwish’s comment garnered speculations that something was brewing between the pair and one fan asked: “Mehwish, will he marry you?”
Another added: “What’s cooking??”
The possibility of collaboration was subtly hinted at during a 2022 Q&A session hosted by Mehwish when a fan asked about a potential joint project with an Indian rapper.
Playfully, she redirected the question to Honey Singh by tagging him and saying:
“Let’s ask the man himself! What’s your take on this?”
Honey Singh immediately replied and said “Sure”.
In 2019, Honey Singh turned to Instagram to convey a heartfelt birthday wish to Mehwish.
The ‘Desi Kalakaar’ singer shared an image of Mehwish Hayat and labelled her a fantastic singer and actress.
Mehwish Hayat has wowed audiences and most recently, she made a bigger name for herself in the 2022 American miniseries Ms Marvel.
She played Aisha, Kamala Khan’s great-grandmother and portrayed heart-touching scenes during Partition.

After the success of the show, Mehwish thanked Sharmeen for casting her.
She said: “Walking onto that set reduced me to tears every time. It so vividly brought home the horrors that our ancestors went through.
“I could walk away when the camera cut, but for countless millions, it was their reality.”
Mehwish Hayat has established herself as one of the leading actresses in the Pakistani entertainment industry.
