Viewers of Baylagaam are not happy with the show after it appeared to copy a famous scene from Tere Bin.
Tere Bin‘s romantic scene between Meerab (Yumna Zaidi) and Murtasim (Wahaj Ali) at the beginning of episode 22 became an iconic moment on the show.
It featured an outdoor setup, with lights and a large food platter.
Murtasim was dressed in a black suit as he waited for Meerab.
Meerab then made her grand entry, looking glamorous in a shimmering bronze-hued saree.
Before the pair sits down to enjoy the evening, Murtasim tells her:
“You look so beautiful.”
The scene ended up becoming a highlight of the show and even became part of its original soundtrack.
It seems the moment between Meerab and Murtasim has now served as the inspiration for a scene in Baylagaam.
Around the 20-minute mark of episode 107, Afnan and Ramsha have a romantic dinner moment.
Dressed in a bronze-coloured saree, Ramsha is surprised by the elaborate outdoor setting, which has been adorned with lights and flowers.
Afnan surprises her from behind and gifts her with a bouquet. He is dressed in a pink blazer and grey trousers.
After having a heartfelt conversation, the pair sit down to enjoy the evening.
Viewers quickly noticed how similar the scene was to the one in Tere Bin, from the outfits to the setting.
Many were unhappy with the apparently copied moment and stated that the scene in Baylagaam does not compare to Tere Bin‘s scene.
One said: “It is obvious. They have recreated the scene.”
Another wrote: “Juniors copied their seniors.”
A third added: “Still doesn’t hit like Murtasim and Meerab.”
Others said the scene was a “copy”.
The drama centres on Ramsha (Laiba Khan), a girl raised with no restrictions.
Unlimited internet access leads to her spending excessive time on social media. It evolves into an all-consuming passion for fame.
During her pursuit of stardom, Ramsha crosses paths with Afnan (Ali Abbas).
While Afnan, who holds affection for his paternal cousin Alizeh (Tuba Anwar), views Ramsha as a source of amusement, she misinterprets their friendship as love.
Disheartened by her failed search for love, Ramsha turns towards fame. Ramsha’s unwavering quest for popularity propels her onto a challenging path, causing turmoil within her family.
As her popularity soars, she becomes increasingly distant from her loved ones and soon discovers the other side of fame many people are unaware of.
Along this journey, she encounters Afnan once more, but circumstances have taken a different turn.
