"This film is a stupid film. It will be unsuccessful."
Indian film critic and YouTube personality Kamaal R Khan, popularly known as KRK, has recently voiced his opinion on Fighter.
He expressed his strong objections to the creators of the upcoming Bollywood movie.
In a video posted on his channel, KRK dissected the film’s trailer and highlighted the repetitive negative portrayals of Pakistan.
KRK voiced his discontent with the film’s attempt to manipulate emotions in the name of patriotism.
He claimed that audiences are not easily swayed by such narratives and criticised this recurring theme in Bollywood films.
He questioned the sole focus on Pakistan and suggested that other geopolitical issues should also be explored in cinema.
For this, he cited the tensions between India and China, claiming that they could have been depicted too.
KRK said: “Why do you always attack Pakistan in the films, why can’t you attack China which is an equivalent enemy of India?
“This film is a stupid film. It will be unsuccessful.
“They are saying that they never replied to Pakistan which is a blatant lie. They always brag about destroying Pakistan.”
He also questioned the Indian filmmakers: “If you have destroyed Pakistan, then why it keeps on coming back in your films?”
The film’s trailer depicted fictional war sequences, with Hrithik Roshan delivering dialogues that KRK found objectionable.
Additionally, KRK pointed out that Deepika Padukone’s action sequences appeared to be similar to those performed by Kangana Ranaut in Tejas.
KRK humorously questioned the effectiveness of India’s defence budget and security measures.
He suggested India should simply send actors like Hrithik Roshan or Vidyut Jammwal every six months to accomplish such feats.
Drawing a parallel with Tejas, KRK predicted it might face a similar fate at the box office.
He says the film’s narrative is false because they are stirring the public’s emotions and it will be a flop.
KRK urged filmmakers to diversify their narratives. He suggested they explore a wider range of issues instead of repetitive anti-Pakistan narratives.
As the release of Fighter approaches on January 25, 2024, KRK’s criticism highlights the need for a more nuanced approach to storytelling.
It suggests moving away from stereotypical representations that perpetuate a singular viewpoint.
Many Pakistani and Indian viewers have thanked Kamaal R Khan for giving an honest review of Fighter.
One said: “Great and realistic review.”
Another commented: “Unbiased review by KRK.”
One wrote: “You are the only one who gave an honest review of the trailer. All these samosa critics have praised it to the roof.”
