After her exit from Bigg Boss 19, Malti Chahar criticised Farrhana Bhatt for creating a lesbian narrative against her.

Malti is the sister of Indian cricketer Deepak Chahar. She entered Bigg Boss 19 as a wildcard and managed to reach the top six.

She was eventually evicted after a turbulent stint marked by repeated clashes.

Following her exit, Malti addressed speculation about her sexuality.

She accused co-contestant Farrhana Bhatt of shaping a false narrative inside the house.

During the season, viewers frequently saw Malti spending time around Farrhana and interpreted her behaviour as admiration.

Tensions peaked during an argument when Malti stood extremely close to Farrhana and refused to step back despite Kunickaa Sadanand’s intervention.

Kunickaa later told Tanya Mittal she believed Malti was a lesbian.

Responding to those claims, Malti said: “I wasn’t admiring anyone in that way.

“I was simply talking to the boys and talking to the girls, that’s it. And if I were a lesbian, I would have no problem accepting it.

“There is nothing wrong with being a lesbian. I am straight. If someone had asked me on the show, I would’ve openly said it a thousand times, I am straight.”

She added that the label itself was not offensive, but the way it was used inside the house was damaging.

Malti continued: “Someone calling me a lesbian doesn’t offend me at all. ‘Lesbian’ is not an insult. I have no problem with acceptance.

“But this narrative was first set by Farrhana. Because she doesn’t know what to say and what not to say, that woman leaves nothing unsaid.

“For her, doing anything to stay on the show was survival. She didn’t spare anyone.”

The issue resurfaced during the press conference round.

One media personality questioned Malti about being “obsessed” with Farrhana. Malti rejected the suggestion and said Farrhana constantly provokes her, while she only reacts.

With Malti’s eviction confirmed, Bigg Boss 19 has now reached its top five stage. The remaining contestants are Gaurav Khanna, Farrhana Bhatt, Amaal Mallik, Tanya Mittal, and Pranit More.

The audience will now decide the winner through public voting. The grand finale of Salman Khan’s show will stream on JioHotstar at 9 pm on December 7.
