Kangana Ranaut has given her reaction following the trailer release of the controversial Sadak 2.

The film is directed by Mahesh Bhatt and it is his first collaboration with actress daughter Alia Bhatt.

It is the sequel to the 1991 hit Sadak and it also stars Aditya Roy Kapur, Pooja Bhatt and Sanjay Dutt. The trailer released on August 12, 2020, however, it was met with controversy.

Amid the ongoing debate on nepotism, the trailer became the most disliked trailer on YouTube with over 6.2 million.

This comes after a campaign to boycott the film. Fans of Sushant Singh Rajput have started a campaign to make it the most disliked trailer.

The film features two of Mahesh Bhatt’s children, igniting the nepotism debate as it is heavily alleged that Sushant’s death was caused by him being ostracised by the film industry.

Social media users took to the comments to give their thoughts.

One person wrote: “I think now the Indian audience realised the fakeness of Bollywood industry and I am happy to see this.”

Another said: “This movie doesn’t deserve likes and it deserves only dislikes.”

One commented: “I just come here immediately just to dislike.”

Outspoken actress Kangana Ranaut was another who reacted to the trailer, throwing jibes at Alia. She also criticised her boyfriend Ranbir Kapoor, claiming that their “time is up”.

She also took aim at director R Balki, who had said that there are no better actors in Bollywood than Ranbir and Alia.

Kangana went on to say that Balki is “hiding” following the release of the trailer.

The actress criticised the acting couple’s skills, saying that they are “below average” but are glorified by the media.

She tweeted: “Somebody need to find R Balki he is hiding, he said there are no better actors than Ranbir and Alia sharm karlo, thodi sharm karlo, brainwashing ki bhi limit hoti hai.

“Both pappus are below average glorified by mafia media, their friends and fake awards, their time is up.”

Kangana had responded to a tweet from another person who had trolled the trailer.

Meanwhile, Pooja reacted to the massive hate that the film is already getting.

She claimed that both lovers and haters are the two sides of the same coin. She expressed gratitude towards them as they gave their time to the trailer and ensured that it trends.

Sadak 2 is another title which has opted for a digital release as a result of the pandemic. The film is set to release on August 28, 2020, on Disney+ Hotstar.
