"Bullydawood and their cronies are in shock."

Kangana Ranaut shared a note of appreciation for The Kashmir Files while also criticising Bollywood for its silence about the film.

The Kashmir Files is about the exodus of Kashmiri Hindus in the 1990s due to the Kashmir Insurgency.

It was released on March 11, 2022, and it has received positive reviews and also had a strong opening at the box office.

Kangana has praised the film. She also said there is “pin-drop silence” in Bollywood about the film, claiming that many people in the industry are shocked by the film’s success.

In a lengthy post, Kangana said: “Please notice the pin-drop silence in the film industry about The Kashmir Files, not just content even its business is exemplary… investment and profit proportion might be such a case study that it will be the most successful and profitable film of the year.

“It also broke many myths about theatres being exclusive for big budgets event films or visual/VFX spectacles post-pandemic, it is breaking every myth and preconceived notion that was there and bringing back the audiences to the theatres, 6 am shows in multiplexes are full. It’s unbelievable!!!”

Referring to Bollywood as ‘Bullydawood’, Kangana continued:

“Bullydawood and their cronies are in shock.”

She concluded her post: “Not a word, the whole world is watching but not them. Their time is up!!”

Kangana later stated that The Kashmir Files is earning money without any “cheap publicity”.

She said: “No cheap publicity, no fake numbers, no mafia anti-national agendas.

“When the country will change, films will change too. Jai Hind!”

She added: “The Kashmir Files has shattered box office, today’s numbers will be unbelievable, much more than the entire budget of the film itself.

“The conscience of India is finally awakening. Vande Mataram.”

Kangana previously claimed that Alia Bhatt’s Gangubai Kathiawadi had used “fake numbers” to exaggerate its box office figures.

The outspoken actress previously praised The Kashmir Files, calling it “the most important film of the year”.

Anupam Kher thanked the audience for appreciating The Kashmir Files.

In response to his tweet, Akshay Kumar said:

“Hearing absolutely incredible things about your performance in The Kashmir Files. Amazing to see the audience back to the cinemas in large numbers. Hope to watch the film soon.”
