"the entire planning was top-notch."
Kajol completed action sequences for Maharagni: Queen of Queens, with co-star Samyuktha revealing that they performed their own stunts.
Kajol and South Indian actress Samyuktha will take on strong, action-packed roles in the upcoming film.
Not only does the film mark Samyuktha’s Bollywood debut in Bollywood but it also reunites Kajol with Prabhu Deva after 27 years.
Maharagni is written and directed by Charan Tej Uppalapati.
The film also features Naseeruddin Shah and Jisshu Sengupta in key roles.
Maharangi promises to be a major thriller with a substantial budget, slated for release in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam.
In the teaser, Kajol is seen taking down the villain and making an entrance that resembles the dramatic style of a typical South Indian hero.
She appears in dramatic, high-intensity action sequences.
The clip ends with Kajol saying: “Power is not demanded, it is taken away.”
In an interview, Samyuktha confirmed that the actors performed all the stunts themselves.
She said: “We’ve wrapped up the intense action sequences featuring Kajol ma’am, and my introduction scene along with some thrilling car chases are also completed.”
While sharing her experience, Samyuktha said:
“We had a blast! The action director from abroad was phenomenal, and the entire planning was top-notch.
“I feel so grateful.”
Samyuktha made her acting debut in the Malayalam film Popcorn.
She was most recently seen in the Telugu action saga Devil: The British Secret Agent and had a cameo in the Telugu romantic-horror film Love Me.
She has just finished working on the Malayalam action-thriller Ram, starring Mohanlal.
Samyuktha believes that Maharagni will be groundbreaking:
“After I heard the story of Maharagni, the one major thing that our director (Charan Tej Uppalapati) and I sat down and discussed was how he wanted to present two women in action-packed avatars.
“The chat was all about why should boys have all the fun?
“Maharagni is a true-blue commercial film packed with songs and fight sequences.
“The action is being done by us. It’s very interesting to be a part of a film like this.”
Samyuktha also shared her thoughts on working with the likes of Kajol and Naseeruddin Shah.
She said: “Kajol Ma’am was incredibly supportive, guiding me through my close-up shots.
“Their experience and encouragement helped me overcome my anxiety about getting the Hindi dialect right.”
The actress emphasised the film’s innovative take on female-led action roles.
Although much of the film is still incomplete, Maharagni is already generating significant buzz and excitement among audiences and industry insiders.
