Janhvi has now shed light on the conversation, hinting that she and the music superstar had a lengthy talk.
At the Screen and Style Icons Awards 2024, Janhvi Kapoor looked gorgeous in a gold gown.
When she was called on stage, Janhvi recalled her conversation with Rihanna, revealing it was light-hearted and she humorously said:
“It was actually a very long conversation.”
Janhvi Kapoor previously showered praise on Rihanna and called her a goddess while also highlighting her warm and approachable personality.
She said: “It was definitely a moment for me because who isn’t a fan of Rihanna?
“She is literally a goddess but more than any of that she is so warm, she’s so normal, so chill and yeah, I had a blast.”
In addition to sharing the dancefloor with Janhvi Kapoor, Rihanna also danced to ‘Chaleya’ from Jawan. She even posed with Shah Rukh Khan.
For her performance at the lavish pre-wedding, Rihanna was reportedly paid £5 million.
She performed 19 songs, including ‘Pour it Up’, ‘Wild Things’ and ‘Diamonds’, among others.
Meanwhile, Janhvi Kapoor will be next seen in Jr NTR’s Devara, followed by Mr and Mrs Mahi.
The actress will also reunite with her Bawaal co-star Varun Dhawan as well as an untitled film with Ram Charan.
Janhvi Kapoor previously opened up about her time in an American acting school.
Speaking to The Week, Janhvi said: “I learnt nothing there.
“My main agenda, and I think the thrill in it for me was… for the first time to be in an environment where I wasn’t being identified as someone’s daughter.
“And I think that anonymity was so refreshing and that’s what I held on to the most.”
“The format of the school that I studied over there was very deeply rooted in how Hollywood works, how their auditioning process is, what it’s like to meet casting agents.
“I wish I could have used that time getting to know my people and my country and my language a little better because I am telling the stories of my people, not of them.
“I just wish I did more things that would make me relate to my people and I did.”
