Is Jaisay Aapki Marzi worth Watching f

“Excellent depiction of a narcissist husband.”

ARY Digital’s Jaisay Aapki Marzi is the latest offering of entertainment.

The drama offers an impressive casting of Mikaal Zulfiqar, Dur-e-Fishaan Saleem, Javed Sheikh, Kiran Malik and Ali Safina.

The screenplay has been written by Naila Jaffri and directed by Saba Hameed.

It revolves around an abusive marriage and a meek girl who is unable to fight for her rights.

Teasers of the latest project showed snippets of Sherry (Mikaal), who seems to have anger issues, paired with Alizeh (Dur-e-Fishaan) who is the complete opposite.

The pair are seen navigating married life as Alizeh is shown trying hard not to do anything that angers her husband.

Mikaal and Dur-e-Fishaan are working together for the first time but they are a fresh casting pair and audiences are excited to see how they complement one another on screen.

Mikaal took to Instagram to share the trailer of Jaisay Aapki Marzi and he was met with appreciation for his role.

Others appreciated the drama for highlighting narcissistic behaviours in a marriage.

One comment read: “Wow, I’ve seen men behave like this in real life too. Superb acting!”

Another said: “Excellent depiction of a narcissist husband.”

One fan wrote: “Superb trailer, I can’t wait to watch it, I know it’s going to be a hit.”

The first episode showed a far from typical parent-child relationship as Alizeh confides in her mother that a boy in her college had shown interest in her, and she would rather marry him than a stranger.

Although her mother seems unhappy about this revelation, she states she will meet the boy and asks him to come to their house with his family.

This scene was met with applause, as in most Pakistani dramas, talks of a love marriage often begin with tears, screaming and getting married in secret.

On the flip side, audiences are invited into Sherry’s house where we see an overly interfering sister who likes to control the lives of her father and brother.

Jaisay Aapki Marzi seems to get more interesting as audiences see how Alizeh handles an angry husband and a controlling sister-in-law.

The first episode has garnered much praise from YouTube with some agreeing that seeing Dur-e-Fishaan and Mikaal together as a couple was pleasing to the eye.

One person said:

“A great topic to portray. It’s very common, but people don’t have awareness about narcissistic personality disorder.”

“It’s more than I expected. It was a good episode and nicely written.”

Fans are eagerly awaiting the second episode.

Jaisay Aapki Marzi will every Tuesday and Wednesday at 8 pm.
