“At different ages, I wanted to solve corruption."

Aamir Khan’s daughter Ira Khan is known for speaking publicly about sensitive and personal topics on Instagram.

Now, she has uploaded a video to the platform talking about her childhood dreams.

The video, posted on Thursday, May 20, 2021, comes shortly after her 23rd birthday.

In the video, Khan talks about how she viewed the world as a child, and the dreams and aspirations she had.

She also spoke about how her life as an adult does not match the naïve ideas she had as a child, which included wanting to solve India’s corruption.

In the video, Ira Khan said:

“At different ages, I wanted to solve corruption.

“I was like ‘We will find all the people who are corrupt and we will tell their bosses that they are corrupt and then we will get rid of corruption’.

“I wanted to end unemployment so I wanted to go to all the villages and find out what villages were good at doing and get them employment in companies that can actually, or make my own company so that I can actually pay them what they need.”

Ira Khan also spoke about a method she believed could be useful for feeding stray dogs.

She said that, when watching people eat eggs after their workouts, she noticed they would throw away the yolks.

Therefore, Khan thought of the idea to feed the yolks to the stray dogs.

Elsewhere in the video, Ira Khan said that she wanted to donate her entire earnings to NGOs. She said:

“I was like ‘okay, I’ll study, I’ll grow, earn lots of money and I will donate it to NGOs’.”

Just before ending the video, Ira Khan said that she is old enough to make her own life choices.

However, she does not plan to reveal her future ideas yet.

Despite her secrecy over her future plans, Ira Khan has made it clear that she takes on a lot of work.

In another video, posted on April 1, 2021, Khan revealed that her mental health compels her to work, and that she often experiences burnouts.

In the caption to her video on the subject, also posted to Instagram, Khan says:

“Working a lot isn’t a bad thing, trying to do a lot isn’t a bad thing – not always. There’s a point after which it gets unhealthy.

“That’s what I need to find. That balance. Because working also brings me joy.”

According to Khan, there is a part of her that tells her to work hard and that she can always do one more thing, which pushes her to her limit.

Louise is an English and Writing graduate with a passion for travel, skiing and playing the piano. She also has a personal blog which she updates regularly. Her motto is "Be the change you wish to see in the world."
