Love Island fans were sent into meltdown after Whitney Adebayo posted cryptic comments about “new beginnings”, with many convinced she and Lochan Nowacki have split.
Speculation started when Whitney reflected on her future in an interview with US entertainment site iHeartRadio.
She spoke about wanting a “solid king” and hinted at changes in her life.
Fans immediately jumped to conclusions, believing her relationship was over.
One wrote: “Sooo did they break up.”
Another posted: “I came on Reddit because Whitney’s new video on Instagram sounded like she broke up with Lochan, then bumped into her ‘I want to be seen as a trophy wife’ video.
“What’s her deal lately? It’s giving ‘I can’t wait to dump my bf.’”
A third added: “Wow, she really speaks about Lochan like an afterthought. As if he’s a placeholder. So sad.”
The breakup rumours spiralled further as one said:

The panic follows a rough patch for the couple in 2024 when they briefly wiped all traces of each other from social media.
But the cryptic post was not a hint at a breakup.
Instead, Whitney Adebayo and Lochan Nowacki have taken a major step in their relationship.
The “new beginnings” Whitney referenced was that she and Lochan had moved in together.
Speaking on a recent podcast, Whitney opened up about her evolving perspective:
“The baddy aesthetic isn’t what you lot said it was. The truth be told, baddies don’t get the good guys, baddies get the rappers and trappers.
“I want a solid king, I’ve already got that.
“But I want him to look at me like this is a trophy wife, not like, she’s going to spend all my money.”
“I really want to step into my feminine energy and be more vulnerable.
“The big V word, and if you are from a Nigerian household, you already know that was beaten out of us from age 2.
“So it is going to take a lot of work but I’m willing to do the work.”
Whitney Adebayo and Lochan Nowacki were runners-up on Love Island in 2023, won by Sammy Root and Jess Harding.
