"I think that's really important."

As he gets ready for the much-anticipated second season of Love Island: All Stars, Nas Majeed opened up about his split with Eva Zapico.

Nas and Eva found love during the first-ever winter edition of the ITV2 show in January 2020.

He entered the villa on Day 1 and initially struggled to find a connection.

However, sparks flew during the Casa Amor twist when he coupled up with Eva, leaving Demi Jones behind in one of the season’s most talked-about moments.

The pair were together for over four years before suddenly calling it quits in March 2024.

Fan favourite Nas caused a surprise when it was announced he would be on the upcoming series of Love Island: All Stars.

It also prompted speculation as soon after, Eva deleted her social media accounts.

The 28-year-old presenter has now revealed he is still in contact with his ex.

Sharing why he and Eva broke up, Nas said:

“It just ran its course unfortunately.

“There was no bad blood, it was amicable which is really nice, especially spending four years with someone.

“We’re still really good friends to this day, I’ve met up with her a couple of times since breaking up.

“We’ve just chatted like old friends, I think that’s really important.

“I wouldn’t want to throw away four years, especially after being put together under such surreal circumstances.”

Nas confessed he did not tell Eva that he would be returning to the Love Island villa but he had hinted at it.

“I didn’t explicitly tell her I was going in but I think she kind of read between the lines.

“The fact I was going to the gym on Christmas Eve and New Year’s Day was a pretty big giveaway.

“So there were kind of enough hints for her and I think she got the message.”

Nas has ruled out a romantic reunion with Eva:

“I don’t think so, I think four years together, you kind of know.

“Especially towards the ends as well, you think you kind of know when it’s not right for you.”

However, he would be happy for her to get to know the other lads if she enters the villa.

“I honestly wouldn’t mind at all, I think as I mentioned it ended so amicably.

“I think we both came to a realisation that it wasn’t for us and I’ve always been her biggest fan as well.

“From my point of view, I’d obviously be extremely supportive if she was in there as well, I’d always want the best for her.”

Nas Majeed is hoping to find love again as he joins other Love Island alumni.

Some of those in the villa include series five stunner India Reynolds, the controversial Olivia Hawkins and season eight’s Luca Bish.
