“This is totally mutual and they have loved their time together"

Love Island stars Priya Jaswal and Aidan Murphy have split up despite the villa beauty previously saying they were “inseparable”.

The couple surprised fans when they chose to pursue their relationship outside the villa after initially calling things off shortly before leaving the show.

Priya and Aidan finished sixth on the series but appeared to be going from strength to strength after sharing date nights and creating memories together.

However, a source has now said the pair have decided to call time on their romance after experiencing life together outside the villa.

The source told The Sun: “Since leaving Love Island and experiencing life outside together, Aidan and Priya have realised they’re better off as mates.

“They had a rollercoaster friends to lovers journey on the show and there were times they thought that could translate outside the villa but they’ve decided they’re just better suited as friends.

“This is totally mutual and they have loved their time together so will be cheering each other on as they navigate the next chapter solo.”

The split comes just days after Priya discussed her relationship with Aidan on The Only Way Is Essex’s podcast with Billie Shepherd.

At the time, Priya confirmed that the pair were dating, despite not officially being boyfriend and girlfriend.

She also revealed that they had been “inseparable” since leaving the Love Island villa in July, while acknowledging that their relationship had developed in an unconventional way.

Priya explained that Aidan had never experienced a friends-to-lovers relationship before and that there was not initially a romantic spark between them.

Despite the uncertainty, she said things were “going really well” and described Aidan as “such a nice boy”.

Their relationship had already experienced several twists during their time on Love Island.

Aidan ended their romantic connection shortly before they were dumped from the show, saying he wanted to protect their friendship.

However, the pair surprised viewers again when they revealed during the live final that they had rekindled their romance.

Meanwhile, Aidan’s brother Kavan Murphy’s romance with Jasmine Muller appears to be taking a very different path.

The couple finished as runners-up to Lorenzo Alessi and Julia Mayska but have since taken their relationship to the next level.

In a TikTok video, Jasmine confirmed that she and Kavan have become boyfriend and girlfriend.

She said: “We did it very subtle, we did it very cute, very private.”
