Nish heard everything in the back room.
The latest episode of EastEnders ended with a bang as the hateful Nish Panesar (Navin Chowdhry) made a shocking discovery.
In recent instalments of the show, viewers have seen Nish attempt to rebuild bridges with his family after finding out that he is terminally ill.
However, Nish and Priya Nandra-Hart (Sophie Khan Levy) agreed that she would date him in exchange for money.
When Priya changed her mind, a vengeful Nish turned her children Davinder ‘Nugget’ Gulati (Juhaim Rasul Choudhury) and Avani Nandra-Hart (Aaliyah James) against her.
The villainous businessman lied that Priya slept with him when this was not the case.
Nish’s son Vinny Panesar (Shiv Jalota) threw Priya out of the house to prove his loyalty to his father.
However, what Nish did not know was that Vinny was secretly plotting with his mother Suki Panesar (Balvinder Sopal) to seize Nish’s fortune when he dies.
The latest episode of EastEnders was uploaded to BBC iPlayer on July 31, 2024, at 6 am.
It showed Priya trying to get a confession out of Nish while handcuffing him in the back room of the Minute Mart supermarket.
However, when Nish refused to back down, Priya simply left him in the room, locking the door.
As Nish desperately waited for help to arrive, he heard Vinny and Suki enter the store.
This led to him making a discovery which could spell disaster for his son and ex-wife.
Vinny complained: “Priya’s going to run this place into the ground.”
Suki replied: “Oh, relax! Once it’s in your name, we’ll get things back on track.”
Vinny then said: “It just feels weird screwing over your dad when he is already a condemned man.”
Suki scoffed and said: “Come on, the man is a narcissist. He’ll probably die happy.”
Vinny answered: “Good job he’s not finding out, then. Wouldn’t want him thinking that he has won.”
However, Nish heard everything in the back room.
Nish Panesar made his EastEnders debut in September 2022 and quickly cemented himself as one of the show’s most detestable villains.
Some viewers will remember that Nish served years in prison for murdering a man he thought was having an affair with Suki.
But he didn’t know that Suki was close to the man’s wife, Ayesha.
Ayesha is set to make a brief appearance in the show in August 2024 and she will be played by Laila Rouass.
Speaking of joining the show, Laila commented: “I cannot tell you how excited I am to be in EastEnders!
“I was born in the East End and grew up there, and there was such a buzz when the show started.
“This is a lifelong dream come true!”
