Nish Panesar (Navin Chowdhry) seemingly made his exit from BBC’s EastEnders on Thursday, October 31, 2024.
Coinciding with Halloween, the episode explored Nish’s plan after he discovered what happened during Christmas 2023.
Nish was at the heart of the acclaimed storyline that depicted ‘The Six’.
During the plot’s climax, Nish found himself surrounded by six women in the Queen Vic pub, including his ex-wife Suki Panesar (Balvinder Sopal).
Nish tried to attack Suki, but Denise Fox (Diane Parish) smashed a bottle over his head in an attempt to stop him.
However, Nish survived, and after recovering, he was told that Keanu Taylor (Danny Walters) attacked him.
In recent episodes of EastEnders, Nish tricked Kathy Cotton (Gillian Taylforth) into telling him that Keanu was killed by Linda Carter (Kellie Bright) on the fateful night.
He also forced Suki into confessing that Denise hit him over the head.
With an upper hand over Suki, Nish coerced her into letting him live with her again.
The Panesar family were shocked when Suki and Nish announced that they were back together.
Meanwhile, Suki revealed to Stacey Slater (Lacey Turner) that Nish had agreed to take the blame for Keanu’s murder after the women framed Dean Wicks (Matt Di Angelo) for the crime.
In the latest episode of the soap, however, Suki felt Nish’s wrath when she told him:
“I wanted to love you. You don’t even know what it means! You don’t love me!
“I never loved you – I survived you.”
Nish then turned violent with Suki as he raged: “You loved me once, and you, before I die, are going to love me again!”
The businessman then threw Suki on the table and tried to rape her. However, he was stopped when his grandchildren barged in with Stacey.
Nish’s granddaughter, Avani Nandra-Hart (Aaliyah James), talked to him in private and said:
“What I saw in there…you could have really, really hurt her.
“What if that was me and some man just treated me like dirt, hurting me and making me feel like I’m nothing?
“I’m not stupid, Grandad. I’ve heard the stories about you, but I know that in your heart, there is good.
“And I know you want to do the right thing.”
Nish asked: “What would be the right thing to do now?”
Avani replied: “You have to set Grandma free. You have to let her go.”
Nish then walked out of the house defeated and met the women in the Vic. He asked what Keanu was killed with and where he was stabbed.
As Suki watched, he then falsely confessed to killing him. He told the police: “Keanu was injured, but he escaped.
“So my men grabbed him and bundled him into the caff.
“One of my men grabbed the nearest thing at hand. It was this meat thermometer fork. Stabbed him in the back.
“I forced Linda Carter to frame Dean Wicks and planted the murder weapon in a box in his kitchen.
“But when that didn’t work, I forced Linda to confess. And I’d sooner pay for my sins in this world than another.”
As Nish was being led out in handcuffs, he asked Suki: “Will you visit me?”
Suki simply replied: “If it helps.”
Nish begged Suki not to marry Eve Unwin (Heather Peace), but she did not respond.
Out on the Square, Nish was put into a police car as the six women watched the vehicle disappear into the darkness.
In September 2024, it was announced that Navin Chowdhry would be leaving EastEnders after two years.
Is this the last we have seen of the detestable Nish Panesar, and is the ordeal of the women finally over?
