Alexa responds: "I'm sorry, I don't know that one."
A viral video captured Punjabi singer and actor Diljit Dosanjh arguing with Amazon’s virtual assistant Alexa.
Diljit shared the video on Instagram on Wednesday, August 12, 2020, to share the video which shows him asking Alexa to play his song ‘Clash’ and the device failing to do so repeatedly.
The funny exchange took place as the singer made a berry smoothie in his kitchen.
Diljit had been showing his fans what he was doing while music was playing in the background.
The war of words between Diljit and Alexa soon happens when Diljit professes his love for the device. The virtual assistant initially ignores him before replying:
“I’m flattered, thank you.”
Diljit then asks Alexa to play his song ‘Clash’. When Alexa is unable to comprehend his request, Diljit’s feelings soon change.
When he first makes the request, Alexa responds: “I’m sorry, I don’t know that one.”
Diljit then repeats himself, except he makes his request slower and clearer.
However, Alexa says: “I could not find that song by The Beatles but here is other music by The Beatles.”
The two then begin an exchange where Alexa would start playing a song despite not being requested to do so by Diljit, prompting him to repeatedly tell the device to stop.
When he requests ‘Clash’ for a third time, Alexa suggests music from a different artist.
With each failed attempt, Diljit is seen getting more frustrated as he constantly tells Alexa to stop when a random song starts playing.
At one point, he says that he only just bought the device and that it is useless.
When he makes the request again, Alexa finally listens and plays ‘Clash’ by Diljit Dosanjh.
This results in a sense of relief for Diljit after trying so hard to get Alexa to play his song.

He then goes back to making his smoothie, however, when he thanks Alexa, the song stops, prompting Diljit to look over. Thankfully, Alexa acknowledged his thank you and resumed the song.
The war of words soon continued when Diljit began having problems with increasing the volume. He finally gets what he wants, leading to Diljit cheering and breaking out into dance.
The six-minute video has amassed over 2.5 million views and his followers were entertained by what they saw.
One person wrote: “You are too funny. Thank you for entertaining us every time.”
Another said: “Best thing I have seen on the internet in 2020.”
‘Clash’ is a song from Diljit’s new album, G.O.A.T, which was released in July 2020.
