Parineeti Chopra is another A-Lister who dazzled the red carpet with this enchanting outfit.
Bollywood brought glamour and glitz to the red carpet and stage of the HT Most Stylish Awards 2018! The star-studded event took place on 24th January, held at the prestigious Yash Raj Studios in Mumbai.
Each year, the ceremony celebrates all things fashion – recognising the stylish stars, sportspeople and entrepreneurs of the previous year.
The guest list featured an array of famous faces. This included the likes of Amitabh Bachchan, Deepika Padukone, Farhan Akhtar, Sridevi and many more. All showed off their fine sense of style by wearing jaw-dropping outfits.
Throughout the night, guests were treated to electrifying performances and witnessed iconic figures receiving awards. While Akshay Kumar won the Joop Style Badge of Honour, both Rekha and Sanjay Dutt were honoured with the Hall of Fame awards.
Without further ado, let’s check out the best-dressed men and women of the night, as well as the all-important winners’ list.
Best Dressed Women
Aishwarya Rai Bachchan
Global beauty star Aishwarya Rai Bachchan looked flawlessly beautiful in this ethnic attire. She wore a black and cream Anarkali, designed by fashionista Manish Malhotra. Detailed with gold embroidery, this regal gown is a perfect for the queen of fashion!
She kept her luscious hair loose in soft waves, cascading down her shoulders. The starlet also kept her jewellery to a minimum, only sporting rings on her fingers.
On the night, Aishwarya won the Timeless Style Diva award and we can see why. From her early days of winning Miss World 1994, she has always excelled in pulling off superb looks.
Another star to also opt for ethnic wear, Deepika Padukone dazzled in a satin red Banarasi sari. Styled by Shaleena Nathani, the gown brilliantly captures the light of the paparazzi’s cameras.
We also feel this works as a reimagined, modern interpretation of Deepika’s latest character, Rani Padmini. With the starlet’s hair lifted up into a low bun, she looks totally charming and elegant. Wearing Tanishq Jewellery, the earrings and choker necklace complement the look.
Shilpa Shetty Kundra
Shilpa Shetty Kundra brought shimmer and sparkle to the red carpet with this outstanding number. The sleek, sequined gown showed off the actress’ toned figure, especially with its high leg slit.
With a low V-neck line and lace accents, the Reem Acra outfit certainly turned heads at the HT Most Stylish Awards.
We also love Shilpa’s hairstyle, which injected high-glamour to the look. Her chocolate locks are styled into voluminous curls, swept to one side. Flawless contouring, a nude lip and smokey eye makeup add the finishing touches.
Kriti Sanon pulled off a daring fashion risk with the particular dress. But we feel she’s pulled it off magnificently. She wore a yellow gown, completely made of tassels that made a great impact when the star swished around.
Created by Deme by Gabriella, the dress still showed off Kriti’s flawless figure. She also accessorised the look with stunning bracelets and earrings. Instead of a loose hairstyle, Kriti swept her hair back into a low ponytail. Keeping all the focus on this striking costume.
Parineeti Chopra is another A-Lister who dazzled the red carpet with this enchanting outfit. She donned a nude gown, decorated with shimmering patterns. While the dress ends above the knee, layers of fabric are added at the back to create a train.
Keeping her hair sleek and straight, the actress looked wonderful as she added smokey eyeshadow and a pink lip to her look.
On the night, Parineeti picked up the Style Gamechanger (Female) award and this look hails as a perfect example of her flawless sense of style.
Worst Dress Women
Sonam Kapoor and Sonakshi Sinha, unfortunately, failed to impress us at the ceremony. Sonam went for a bold choice of wearing a yellow, short gown. Yet we feel it’s mismatched with added fabric on the side and an unflattering cut-off at the skirt.
Meanwhile, Sonakshi went for a more modest attire. But we feel the coat adds a bit too much to the look, while the large trousers swamp her figure. Considering these two usually impress with their fashion, we can’t help but feel disappointed!
Best Dressed Men
Shahid Kapoor and his wife Mira Rajput gave us couple goals in their co-ordinated, monochrome looks. Mira sizzled in a sleek, white gown, containing star-shaped cut-out panels. She opted for a minimal set of jewellery, with a diamond ring and earrings.
But Shahid looked smart and chic with his black, crisscrossed suit. Wearing a white, crisp shirt underneath, the actor kept his hair tousled perfectly. Finishing off the red carpet look with shiny, black shoes, the actor once again triumphs in our list.
Akshay appeared suave and cool with this smart casual attire. He matched a pair of patterned trousers with a crisp, white shirt and a satin, black blazer. With the collar of his shirt unbuttoned and a pair of sunglasses, the actor looked very dapper.
Throughout the years, Akshay has pulled off a variety of outfits with ease and sophistication. No wonder he bagged the Jeep Style Badge of Honour on the night!
Instead of going for the traditional black suit, Saqib Saleem donned a salmon pink outfit. While some may regard it as a risky choice, we feel the actor has pulled it off very well.
Underneath, he wore a white shirt along with a grey, crisscrossed waistcoat. With shiny, black shoes and his hair wonderfully styled, it’s no wonder Saqib has a place on our best-dressed list!
Sanjay Dutt has always been known as Bollywood’s coolest fashionista. He certainly delivered at the HT Most Stylish Awards with this casual attire.
He opted for a fusion of ethnic and Western wear by donning a suave, black bandhgala. Sanjay then injected a bit of attitude into the look with faded, ripped jeans.
With this edgy look, the actor shows us how to rock the red carpet in style!
Amitabh Bachchan oozed charm and elegance with his timeless outfit. We particularly love his blue, snazzy jacket, detailed with green, crisscross patterns. He also donned black trousers, a white shirt and a bow tie – looking vintage yet perfect!
Worst Dressed Men
Varun Dhawan and Farhan Akhtar didn’t manage to impress us enough to have a place on our best-dressed list. Varun took a very bold risk with his camel coloured co-ordination. However, we feel it doesn’t work as well for the red carpet, with the trousers looking quite baggy.
While we do appreciate Farhan’s opting for ethnic wear, we feel his look has too much going on. Perhaps if he removed the grey jacket, it would have worked out much better. Plus, we feel the hairband is too casual for the red carpet.
