When the Badshah of Bollywood hosts a Diwali party, it means the family definitely have to add to the look of the bash with some glamorous attire.
This year the family posed for photos which showed their wonderful choice of fashion and clothes to exemplify the occasion.
SRK wore a slick and stylish two-buttoned black sherwani. Wife, Gauri Khan, wore a lush and stunning crystal embroidered silver and black lehenga.
Daughter, Suhana Khan, posed with her in a lovely navy blue modern crystal saree with an open-sided blouse. And who could miss, AbRam, who also looked cute and smart in a buttoned-up black sherwani.
Kareena Kapoor Khan
Kareena Kapoor Khan wore this striking Anamika Khanna lehenga to Shah Rukh Khan’s Diwali party. The contrast of black and white for this evening look was so bewitching she made the top of the list.
The heavy embroidered work and detailing of the dupatta gave many outfit envy.
Kareena kept her makeup simple, her hair tied up elegantly with gajra flowers. Her jewellery was also lighter to make the outfit the focus, with oversized bell earrings, a few bracelets on one wrist and one ring.
Kapoor highlights how when the outfit has a lot going on it’s best not to detract from it with busy accessorising, a pro tip for dressing up at Diwali and other desi functions.
Anushka Sharma and Virat Kholi
Anushka and Virat celebrated this occasion with very simple, elegant and traditional looks. Anushka opted for a simple sandy beige saree.
While husband Virat picked a white kurta, the block colour choices complimented one another very well. With such modest looks, we couldn’t help but pick up on Anushka’s Kundan set.
The raw cut of these jewels set off the saree in the most perfect way. One simple bangle, a slicked-back bun and bindi, and the ‘Zero’ (2018) heroine was ready to celebrate Diwali.
Katrina Kaif went for a more sensual Diwali look when attending Shahrukh Khan’s Diwali party.
The low cut black beaded blouse is daring but Katrina carried it off like a pro. The addition of the belt cinches her into this black saree nicely.
The mesh arms laden in embroidery is just enough pomp for the occasion. There appeared to be a trend of dark colours this Diwali, with black being a popular choice.

Shilpa Shetty Kundra shone brightly on Diwali night with this sensational Anamika Khanna creation.
One of Khanna’s more eccentric pieces, the layering of the bottom of this piece is eye-catching and unique.
The muted colours matched with the silver etchings make for a delicate Diwali look.
Shilpa opted for open hair, clean and simple makeup but oversized earrings to frame her face. The cut and detailing of this outfit is pure decadence.
While the pale colour choice breathes fresh life into the evening Diwali celebrations.
Alia opted for the colour of the festival, in this striking black lehenga. While the lehenga much like Anushka Sharma’s saree follows the colour block trend.
Alia gave a pop of sparkle with her dupatta, giving a nod to the brightly celebrated festival, for Shah Rukh Khan’s Diwali party.
It became apparent that these young actresses opted not to be weighed down with mountains of jewellery. With most choosing to set their outfits with one or two trinkets.
Alia went for statement earrings, a smokey eye and open hair. The ribbon run of gold running through her dupatta and gleaming through her ears in her earrings gave the right amount of glamour for this occasion.
Kriti Sanon attended Ekta Kapoor’s Diwali 2018 party in a lovely and outstanding velvet red outfit, which is apparently her favourite colour.
The stylish contemporary lehenga looked incredible on the actress.
Who accessorised with just the right amount of jewellery to give the outfit a very complimentary look.
Also present at the party were Salman’s brother Arbaaz Khan with his rumoured girlfriend, Georgia Andriani.
Sara Ali Khan and Amrita Singh
This Mother-daughter duo was a favoured look for the festive season. Amrita is a vision in her pink brocade suit.
Injecting both colour and vibrancy into this Diwali, Amrita highlighted, be it Autumn or Summer bright colours will always do the trick.
While daughter Sara was a vision in white, the addition of the silver mirror-ball bag is a youthful pinch, that set her look apart.
Kajol and Ajay Devgan
Kajol added some excitement this Diwali with this sunny yellow saree. The actress and husband Ajay Devgan flaunted their simple yet chic Diwali looks.
Kajol like Anushka and Karisma opted for a saree this season, while the husband and wife pair followed the colour block trend.

One to watch, Bhumi had turned heads with this regal lehenga. The blue with gold and white details give a very Royal feeling to this ensemble.

Bollywood highlighted very different styles for Diwali. But a few trends did surface which likely will carry on through to 2019.
