The year 2020 is coming to an end and surprisingly, Anushka Sharma’s pregnancy has become India’s most-liked tweet of 2020.
It was expected that something related to the Covid-19 pandemic would receive the most likes.
Twitter India did its annual recap and declared that Anushka and husband Virat Kohli announcing the pregnancy was the most-liked tweet, with more than 650,000 likes.
On August 27, 2020, the much-loved couple broke the internet with their pregnancy news.
Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma took to their respective social media accounts to tell their fans that they would be expecting their first child in January 2021.
As expected, their fans were excited at the news.
The announcement also came with a picture of the couple with Anushka flaunting her baby bump. Dressed in a black polka dot top, Anushka looked radiant as her cricketer husband stood behind her.
Kohli wrote on Twitter:

In a tweet on December 8, 2020, Twitter India declared it the most liked tweet of the year.
The official Twitter India handle made the announcement and re-shared Virat Kohli’s announcement along with the caption: “The most Liked Tweet of 2020.”

Mirzapur 2 emerged as the most talked-about television show of 2020.
Popular Spanish show Money Heist was the most talked-about international web series of 2020 in the country.
Amitabh Bachchan’s tweet in July 2020 that he had contracted Coronavirus became the most quoted tweet of the year.
Black Panther star Chadwick Boseman tragically passed away in August 2020, following a secret four-year battle with colon cancer at the age of 43.
The announcement of his death became the most retweeted, liked and quoted tweet in India when it came to global entertainment.
The results are based on the total number of retweets, likes and quote tweets by Twitter accounts in India between January 1 and November 15, 2020.
