Actress Anushka Sharma and Indian cricket captain Virat Kohli are all set to become parents.
The couple are expecting their first child and took to social media on Thursday, August 27, 2020, to announce the pregnancy.
Anushka also shared a picture of her growing baby bump.
The couple took to their social media accounts and shared the picture. In the caption, they wrote:
“And then we were three! Arriving Jan 2021.”
Dressed in a black polka dot top, Anushka looked radiant as she flaunted her baby bump as Virat smiled behind her.

From Alia Bhatt to Taapsse Pannu, Bollywood celebrities sent messages of congratulations to the couple.
Priyanka Chopra wrote: “Congratulations u guys.”
Rakul Singh Preet posted: “Oh my godddd!! Congratulationssssss.”
Kubbra Sait said: “Woohooo!!! Celebration time. Happiness is universal. Congratulations Anushka and Virat.”
Alia Bhatt posted several heart emojis while Kiara Advani and Varun Dhawan sent their best wishes to the couple.
Many of their fans also congratulated the couple.
One user wrote: “To bring a life into this world is a task given to the strong women.
“Congratulations for being chosen to be among the blessed ones to experience the miracle of birth soon.”
Meanwhile, figures from the sporting world congratulated the couple.
This included the likes of Indian cricketers Yuzvendra Chahal, Wriddhiman Saha, Shikhar Dhawan among others. West Indies cricketer Chris Gayle and South African cricketer Faf du Plessis also flooded the couple’s accounts with wishes and love.
Yuzvendra commented: “Congratulations bhaiya and bhabhi.”
Chris Gayle also wrote: “Congratulations kaka.”
Tennis star Sania Mirza also posted: “Congratulations you two.”
Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli first met on the set of a commercial and dated for four years before getting married in a private ceremony in Italy in December 2017.
Virat is currently in the United Arab Emirates, where he is set to take part in the Indian Premier League, which resumes in September 2020.
Meanwhile, Anushka last starred in the 2018 film Zero. She has not announced any new Bollywood projects but has produced the Amazon Prime web series Pataal Lok.
The happy news comes just two weeks after Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor announced that they are expecting their second child together.
They released a statement which read: “We are very pleased to announce that we are expecting an addition to our family.
“Thank you to all our well-wishers for all their love and support.”
