"I swear to God I didn’t push her."
Pakistani actress Alizeh Shah has reignited the debate around her 2021 bridal ramp fall by openly criticising singer Shazia Manzoor’s recent statements.
The controversy resurfaced after Shazia Manzoor addressed long-standing rumours suggesting she intentionally caused the on-stage mishap during Bridal Couture Week.
The incident originally occurred in December 2021 when Alizeh Shah walked the ramp for designer Nisa Hussain’s bridal collection presentation.
Video footage from the event circulated rapidly online, showing Shah slipping while Manzoor appeared to be holding her arm.
Speculation quickly intensified on social media, with viewers accusing the singer of pushing the actress during the live performance segment.
Years later, Manzoor dismissed the allegations in an interview, strongly denying any intention to harm the young television star.
She firmly stated: “I swear to God I didn’t push her. She fell on her own.”
Manzoor further praised Shah’s appearance that evening, adding affectionate remarks and attributing the incident to unfortunate circumstances rather than conflict.
“Alizeh is such a lovely girl. Who would push someone so beautiful? She looked stunning that day.
“It seems like she simply faced an unfortunate moment, perhaps the effect of an evil eye.”
She even expressed admiration publicly, saying: “Alizeh Shah, I love you.”
However, Shah responded through social media with visible disappointment, suggesting seniority should not automatically shield individuals from accountability.
Her Instagram statement criticised what she described as insincerity.
She wrote: “Expecting sincerity just because someone is a senior is like hitting your head against a wall.”
The actress emphasised that professional respect should be earned through honesty, talent, and meaningful work rather than repeated public disputes.
She continued her remarks by stating that true relevance should emerge from artistic excellence instead of diminishing fellow performers publicly.
In her message, Alizeh Shah also expressed hope that Shazia Manzoor’s career achievements would gain recognition without relying on controversy-driven publicity.
“I also genuinely hope that your work goes viral for your music and talent, not for repeatedly pulling down models and actors on morning shows.
“True value never needs to be proven by diminishing others.”
The renewed exchange quickly gained traction across digital platforms, reigniting discussions.
Fans noted that the original ramp incident had faded from public memory before resurfacing through this unexpected revival.
Despite conflicting narratives, both personalities maintain influential standing within their respective industries, ensuring continued public interest in their statements.
