Alia Bhatt’s Alpha has made fans excited ever since its announcement.
It was recently confirmed that Alia would lead a film as part of the YRF Spy Universe.
The film will also star Sharvari Wagh and is directed by Shiv Rawail.
However, rumours are rife that another actor from the franchise will appear in the film.
That star is none other than Hrithik Roshan who is famous for portraying Major Kabir Dhaliwal in War (2019).
According to sources, Hrithik will play Alia’s mentor in Alpha, playing a key role rather than a cameo.
It is unknown if Alpha will be connected to War.
Sharvari, who appeared in Maharaj (2024), delved into working with Alia in the upcoming action film.
She said: “It’s an overwhelming feeling. It is very rare that you can achieve this across platforms.
“I had a film running in the theatres and a film on Netflix so I reached a lot of people.
“I could showcase my talent to a lot of people. It is a blessing and I am yet to sink into this feeling.
“I haven’t started my shoot as yet but the preparation has been incredible.
“To be able to collaborate with Alia Bhatt who is the country’s favourite star and my personal favourite is a big opportunity.
“I think you get to learn so much from the person that she is and the artist that she is.
“I truly feel I am so blessed to be in the same room as Alia Bhatt because I can be a student and it’s going to be a masterclass on acting.
“It’s going to be incredible.”
In March 2024, Akshaye Widhani divulged Alia’s involvement in the YRF Spy Universe.
He said: “As one of the most prized IPs, we take a lot of pride in it.
“So there’s a lot of stuff that’s going to come in the spy universe.
“We’re going to see more and more films getting made under it.
“But, of course, not going to share everything here.
“We will talk about it at a more opportune time.
“For now, I can say that Alia Bhatt is headlining a spy universe film.”
Along with Alpha, Alia Bhatt will also appear in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Love & War.
Hrithik Roshan will next star in Ayan Mukerji’s War 2 with Jr NTR. It serves as the sixth instalment of the YRF Spy Universe.
The filming of Alpha is currently underway.
