In a tragic accident, two fans of Ram Charan died in a road accident after attending the pre-release event of his upcoming film Game Changer.

The accident occurred on the night of January 4, 2025.

The two women, Arava Manikanta and Thokada Charan were returning to their hometown of Kakinada from Rajahmundry, Andhra Pradesh.

Their motorcycle collided with an oncoming vehicle, leaving both severely injured.

Despite being rushed to a nearby hospital, they were declared dead upon arrival.

The sudden incident occurred just weeks before the film’s January 10, 2025, release date.

Deeply saddened by the incident, Ram Charan, along with his uncle and actor-politician Pawan Kalyan, extended their condolences.

They offered Rs. 10 Lakh each to the grieving families.

Additionally, producer Dil Raju provided another Rs. 5 Lakh to each family, pledging further assistance if needed.

Pawan Kalyan, who is also the deputy Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, expressed his sorrow over the incident X.

He also criticised the state of the ADB Road where the accident occurred, attributing the fatalities to poor infrastructure.

Pawan assured further aid, stating that the Jana Sena Party would provide an additional Rs. 5 Lakh to each family.

They will also continue to liaise with government officials for further support.

Speaking to the press, producer Dil Raju revealed that Pawan Kalyan had initially been apprehensive about attending the event, fearing unforeseen incidents.

But Ram Charan and Dil Raju convinced him otherwise, ensuring that all precautions were taken during the event.

Despite their efforts, the tragedy unfolded after the gathering.

Dil shared:

“It’s heartbreaking that such a tragic incident occurred during what should have been a moment of celebration.”

He reiterated his commitment to supporting the families and expressed profound grief over the loss.

This incident follows a similar tragedy during the screening of Pushpa 2: The Rule, where a stampede resulted in the death of a woman.

It also left her son with critical injuries, leading him to be hospitalised.

These incidents have raised questions about safety measures surrounding high-profile events in the South Indian film industry.
