The pre-release press meet of Peddi in Bengaluru descended into chaos after fans rushed the stage to get close to Ram Charan.

The incident took place during what was meant to be an organised and celebratory promotional event for the upcoming film.

Ram Charan, Shiva Rajkumar and Janhvi Kapoor were all present at the gathering, which quickly turned difficult to manage.

The situation spiralled out of control as several fans attempted to force their way onto the stage during the event.

Videos from the venue spread rapidly across social media, capturing the chaotic scenes that unfolded during the promotional meet.

The trouble began while Ram Charan was in the middle of signing a cricket bat for a young fan at the event.

As more fans surged forward and attempted to climb on the stage, security personnel struggled to contain the growing situation.

In one widely shared video, female fans can be seen attempting to get on the stage while a bouncer pushes them away.

The visuals raised concern online as the women appeared to be handled in a manner that many viewers found inappropriate during the commotion.

Fans had also attempted to honour Ram Charan with a garland, but the rush made even that gesture difficult to manage safely.

The situation became particularly worrying when a fan grabbed the actor’s hand in the commotion during the stage chaos.

Ram Charan reportedly suffered an injury as a result, with the fan having grabbed the very hand he had already injured during the shoot of Peddi.

The incident immediately sparked discussion online about the management of large-scale promotional events and the safety of both stars and fans.

Meanwhile, a separate controversy surrounding the Peddi promotional tour has also been drawing significant attention and criticism online.

A section of social media users has raised serious objections about how a promotional event in Bhopal was advertised to the public.

The event was allegedly marketed in a way that led many attendees to believe they were coming to watch a free AR Rahman concert.

What they encountered instead was a promotional event for Peddi, leaving a large number of those who attended feeling misled.

One X user wrote: “Peddi team marketed & bluffed the audience at the Bhopal event as if it was a free AR Rahman concert.

“Why is our Telugu paid media not covering the other side of reality?”

One attendee shared a video from inside the event, saying:

“Went to AR Rahman Concert to listen to music. Listened to Rai Rai ra ra and came back.”

Peddi is directed by Buchi Babu Sana and produced by Venkata Satish Kilaru under Vriddhi Cinemas, with Ishan Saksena co-producing under IVY Entertainment.

Mythri Movie Makers and Sukumar Writings present the film and feature an ensemble cast including Janhvi Kapoor, Shiva Rajkumar, Ravi, Jagapathi Babu and Divyenndu.

Despite the controversies surrounding its promotional tour, the film itself continues to generate strong anticipation ahead of its release.
