"I am very ashamed."
The Crime Control Department (CCD) has arrested popular TikTok figure Hakeem Shahzad from his residence in Shujabad near Multan.
Reports confirmed his detention was connected to a viral video showing him hosting a mujra.
In the clip, attendees could be seen showering money on dancers. Dania Shah could also be seen in the frame.
Authorities stated that the CCD team apprehended him from his home after reviewing the controversial content circulating across platforms.
Soon after, a video emerged featuring Shahzad in modest attire, wearing a prayer cap and offering a heartfelt apology.
In the clip, he admitted to making inappropriate remarks online and hosting a private dance party during devastating floods.
He stated: “Today, CCD called me and advised me, making me understand. I am very ashamed.”
Shahzad pledged to donate every rupee spent at the mujra to flood victims.
He further appealed for forgiveness, urging the public and authorities to show mercy while promising to change his behaviour.
Hakeem Shahzad is widely followed on TikTok, YouTube, and Facebook, where he frequently shares self-made remedies and lifestyle content.
Despite his popularity, this is not his first controversy, as previous uploads also attracted criticism for questionable subject matter.
A press release from CCD alleged that Shahzad had mocked a sensitive rape incident involving a college student in Lahore.
Authorities seized his phone, which reportedly contained videos, TikTok accounts, and conversations connected to exploitation and offensive commentary on women.
A first information report was subsequently filed against him and several associates, including another online personality known as Chacha Siraiki.
Officials later confirmed further legal action was underway, with investigators reviewing the evidence recovered from his confiscated digital devices.
The backlash from his video sparked intense criticism online, where social media users condemned both the party and his remarks.
His apology attempted to address these concerns, where he urged people to carefully choose their words before posting on platforms.
@murtazaviews Dania Shah husband Hakeem Shahzad Lohapaar issues apology after the Crime Control Department (CCD) team arrested the renowned TikToker Hakeem Shehzad from his residence in Shujabad near Multan. Earlier, in 2024, a Federal Investigation Agency’s cybercrime team arrested Shahzad from Shujaabad. According to the FIA, the TikToker allegedly spread rumours about the rape of a private college student in his videos and uploaded content inciting hatred toward law enforcement agencies. The FIA requested physical remand to recover additional controversial videos and apprehend accomplices involved in the case.
In the statement, he reiterated his regret, adding that the experience had taught him a serious personal lesson.
Social media users remain sceptical about his sincerity, calling the apology an attempt to escape stricter punishment.
Some comments on his latest video demanded accountability, while others insisted donations must be verified before forgiveness could be considered.
The case highlights ongoing scrutiny of online influencers in Pakistan, where viral content increasingly collides with legal and ethical boundaries.
For now, Hakeem Shahzad continues to upload content on his official TikTok account, implying that he has escaped punishment.
