"Do something before it's too late.”

Tanushree Dutta, who sparked India’s #MeToo movement, shared a distressing video claiming she is being harassed in her own home.

The tearful actress posted the clip on Instagram.

In it, she broke down in tears and alleged persistent mistreatment, which she says has left her mentally and physically unwell.

She said: “I am being harassed in my own house.

“I just called the cops and they have asked me to come to the police station to lodge a proper complaint. I will probably go tomorrow or day after. I am not well.

“I have been harassed so much in the past five years that I have fallen sick.”

Tanushree also spoke of living in fear and feeling unsafe in her own space:

“I am unable to work. My entire house has been messy. I can’t hire maids because they plant them in my house.

“I have had terrible experience with maids who come in and steal and do other things.”

The caption read: “I’m sick and tired of this harassment!! It’s been going on since 2018.

“I reached out to the police today as I was fed up of all this.

“Please someone help me! Do something before it’s too late.”

In a second video, posted soon after, a loud screeching sound is heard against complete darkness. According to Tanushree Dutta, these types of noises have been a regular disturbance for years.

She said: “I have also dealt with loud noises like this and other very very loud banging noises above my roof and outside my door almost every day at odd hours since 2020!

“I got tired of complaining to the building management and gave up a few years ago.”

“Now I just live with it and put headphones with Hindu mantras to distract my mind and keep my sanity.

“Today I was so unwell, as you guys know I have developed Chronic Fatigue Syndrome due to dealing with constant stress and anxiety for the last 5 years and this was going on all day and evening way past acceptable and allowed hours.”

Tanushree stated she would formally document these complaints in her police report.

Tanushree Dutta has remained a vocal critic of the silence and backlash she says she experienced after making her allegations public in 2018.

That year, she accused Nana Patekar of sexually harassing her on the set of Horn Ok Please in 2008.

The case gained national attention and triggered a wave of testimonies from other women across India’s entertainment and media industries.

Despite the public outcry, Nana denied the accusations.

Tanushree filed an FIR in October 2018. In 2019, Mumbai Police cleared Nana Patekar of the sexual harassment charges, citing lack of evidence.

While legal closure may have come for Nana, Tanushree has continued to speak out about the personal cost of her allegations.
