Sonakshi Sinha Doesn't do Drugs, Father says

"they don’t have any such habit."

Following Aryan Khan’s release from jail, Shatrughan Sinha has said that his daughter Sonakshi does not do drugs.

Sinha said that the actress and her older brothers, Luv and Khush, refrain from using narcotics.

Speaking of Khan being granted bail amid his ongoing drugs case, the veteran Bollywood actor said:

“There should be justice and that is what has happened today.”

Asked whether it is challenging for celebrity parents to guide their children, Sinha replied:

“Whether it is challenging or not, they must guide their children.

“I practice what I preach, I am a part of anti-tobacco campaigns.

“I always say, ‘say no to drugs and shun tobacco’.”

He added: “I consider myself lucky that my children – Luv, Kush and Sonakshi… I can proudly say that their upbringing is so good that they don’t have any such habit.

“I have never heard them being associated with or seen them doing such things.”

While commenting on Aryan Khan’s case, Sinha noted:

“Aryan Khan is the son of Shah Rukh Khan, so even if he should not be forgiven, then he should not be harassed either.”

It comes as his wife, Poonam Sinha, was spotted arriving at the Khans’ Mumbai residence, Mannat, on Sunday, October 31, 2021.

The visit came after the 23-year-old was released from the city’s Arthur Road jail the day before after spending nearly a month there.

The superstar’s son was among those arrested after a Cordelia Cruises ship was targeted in a raid by India’s Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB).

Various substances including cocaine, MDMA and Mephedrone are all believed to have been consumed during a party aboard the ship.

However, it was later confirmed that Khan himself did not have any drugs in his possession.

He remained in custody as the NCB alleged that “incriminating” WhatsApp chats indicated that he was in fact regularly involved with drugs.

The bureau also claimed that he could tamper with evidence if he was released.

They also alleged Khan had links to international drug trafficking.

Aryan Khan’s bail application was rejected for the fourth time by a special NDPS court in Mumbai on Friday, October 22, 2021.

However, his legal team appealed the decision at Bombay High Court where it was finally granted on Thursday, October 28, 2021.

Sonakshi Sinha last appeared in Bhuj: The Pride of India (2021). Some of her upcoming projects include Bulbul TarangKakuda and Double XL.
