"This is the first time Salman's name will appear in the credits as a lyricist."
The series of Race films have established a great mix of revved up action, brilliant stunts, sensual women and high-octane thrills. Now, Race 3 is in production and Salman Khan is behind the steering wheel of the production. There are also reports that Salman Khan has also written the lyrics for a song in the film!
After having lent his vocals on soundtracks in Bollywood films in the past, this is now yet another new talent the superstar is bringing to the attention of his fans and followers.
Currently, the team is filming the final schedule of Race 3 in Abu Dhabi and sources say he will be making his lyricist debut for a romantic song which is to be picturised in the capital of UAE.
When Salman read out the lyrics of the song he wrote to the team, everyone loved it. The music for his debut song has been produced by Vishal Mishra and the song will feature Salman in the movie with the choreography by Remo D’Souza.
Ramesh Taurani, the producer of the film, verified the news of Salman’s pen-to-paper saying:
“It’s a lovely romantic track, exactly what we were looking for. This is the first time Salman’s name will appear in the credits as a lyricist.”
With Race 3 being produced by Salman Khan Films and Taurani under the banner of Tips Films, Salman is very keen to make this film different from the past two Race movies.
In an interview with a news channel, Salman said:
“When I saw first and second [Race films], I didn’t like few films in that. The way characters were shown being selfish, fighting for money basically I had a problem with the format of those films. I don’t like the kind of exposing [skin showing] franchise is known for. I myself find it not cool.”
“So, Race 3 will have action and cars but sometimes people think that it’ll be an adult film and then there will be things what you have in adult films but I am avoiding all that in this film.”
“Basically, the way you see all my films, you’ll be able to see Race like that. So you can see Race 3 with your children.”
The third instalment of the Race film franchise still features favourites Anil Kapoor and Jacqueline Fernandez, along with Bobby Deol, Daisy Shah and Saqib Saleem. Whilst it is a debut for Salman Khan in the Race series, taking the lead role. The is also a cameo of Sonakshi Sinha in the movie.
Salman recently tweeted saying ‘3 months to go’ with the logo for the new film as a teaser.

They started filming Race 3 in November 2017 and it is being directed by Remo D’Souza. The previous two Race films were directed by duo directors Abbas-Mustan.
Jacqueline Fernandez recently unveiled more about the film in an interview saying:
“The entire team (of Race 3) is very rocking and we are having a great time. We are very psyched about the action we will be doing and the twists and turns in the film.”
Salman posted a short video whilst shooting in Bangkok for the film on his Instagram:
Well with Salman now having penned a romantic song for the film, fans will be very eager to if this Race is a winner. The release date announced for the film is 15 June 2018.
