Honey Singh used “vulgar language” on stage.
Rapper Yo Yo Honey Singh is facing significant legal heat following a formal complaint regarding the content of his music.
This follows a recent Delhi High Court order demanding the immediate removal of the controversial song titled ‘Volume 1’ online.
Pune district child protection officer Mangesh Jadhav has now written to the city Police Commissioner, raising serious new legal concerns.
The letter clearly alleges that several popular songs by the artist appear to “glorify alcohol, drugs and gun culture.”
Jadhav stated that the songs produced by Honey Singh can have a very bad impact on children’s fragile mental health.
The complaint mentions specific tracks such as ‘One Bottle Down’, ‘Char Bottle Vodka’ and the hit song ‘Manali Trance.’
Other songs listed in the official letter include ‘This Party Getting Hot’, ‘Makhana’, ‘Goliyan’ and the track ‘Millionaire.’
Jadhav wrote the letter following a complaint from Dr Punditrao Dharenavar, who is a well-known activist from Chandigarh.
In the letter, he asked the police department to ensure the content remains “appropriate, socially responsible and in conformity with child protection principles and statutory safeguards.”
The official also alleged that Honey Singh used “vulgar language” on stage during a Mumbai show on March 28, 2026.
During that concert, the rapper performed hits like ‘Desi Kalakar’, ‘Mafia Mundeer’, and the popular song ‘Dope Shope’.
Because minors are often allowed at these live events, officials worry about the long-term influence on their young minds.
Amidst this rising controversy, Honey Singh has officially postponed his scheduled Pune concert, which was set for April 4, 2026.
The performance is now rescheduled for April 18 due to the anticipated arrival of heavy rain and several loud thunderstorms.
Honey Singh took to his Instagram account to inform his fans about this sudden change in the tour schedule.
“Despite being completely sold out for Saturday (04.04.2026), we have to reschedule the show to 18.04.2026 due to anticipated rain and thunderstorms.
“This decision has been made in line with the government advisory, as the safety of my fans remains the top priority.
“All tickets purchased will remain valid for the new date (18.04.2026).”
The singer also confirmed that all tickets purchased by his fans will remain valid for the new date of 18.04.2026.
Honey Singh continues to maintain a massive following despite the numerous controversies that have followed him for several decades now.
His latest tour titled ‘My Story’ has been a commercial success even as legal challenges continue to mount against him.
