The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has officially cleared Rhea Chakraborty and closed its probe into the death of Sushant Singh Rajput.

This comes after more than four years of intense scrutiny and investigation.

The investigation, which began in 2020 after his death, has cleared Rhea Chakraborty and her family of all allegations.

The CBI confirmed that there was no foul play involved in Sushant’s death, which was ruled as a suicide.

Sushant Singh Rajput was found dead at his Mumbai apartment on June 14, 2020.

His tragic death sparked a flurry of conspiracy theories, many of which claimed that the actor was murdered.

There were accusations that Sushant’s struggles in the industry had driven him to despair and eventually led to his death.

According to CBI sources, the investigation was comprehensive, involving forensic analysis, technical data from the United States, and consultations with various medical experts.

A senior officer disclosed: “After an extensive investigation, which included forensic evidence, technical data, and numerous medical opinions, no foul play was detected.”

The investigation led to the filing of closure reports in two related cases before a special Mumbai court.

The primary case was filed against his then-girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty by Sushant’s father, KK Singh, who accused her and her family of driving Sushant to suicide.

It also included allegations of embezzling Rs. 15 crore. Another case was filed by Rhea Chakraborty herself.

She accused Sushant’s sister Priyanka Singh and a doctor from Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital of providing Rajput with psychiatric drugs using a forged prescription.

However, no evidence was found to support the accusations in either case.

The CBI, having taken over the investigation from the Mumbai police, formed a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to explore all possible angles.

They investigated to uncover if professional pressure and abetment by Rhea Chakraborty had contributed to Sushant Singh Rajput’s death.

They also consulted AIIMS Delhi, whose medical board concluded that the actor’s death was suicide.

The board noted there were no signs of injury or struggle.

Numerous individuals, including Sushant’s close friends, staff, doctors, and Rhea, were questioned during the investigation.

The CBI’s closure of the case has drawn mixed reactions, and Sushant’s family lawyer, Vikas Singh, has yet to comment on the findings.
