“I won’t object if you want to click our couple pictures.”
Alia Bhatt, Ranbir Kapoor, and his mother Neetu Kapoor recently hosted an informal get-together for the paparazzi in Mumbai on January 7, 2023.
During their interaction, Ranbir showed photographers pictures of his daughter Raha, which came as a surprise to many.
Later, Alia and Ranbir requested the photographers to follow the no-picture policy and not click her pictures when she is spotted outside.
The couple also treated the photographers with Mumbai’s signature chaat.
According to a source: “Both Alia and Ranbir humbly requested all the photographers, and they said, ‘We understand this is your profession and we all need you as much as you need us, but we request you to please not click Raha till she turns two.’”
The source added: “Neetu ji also said it’s parents’ decision, so we should respect.
“As parents, their concern is that let a couple of years pass by and then they would introduce Raha to the world.
“But they insisted that she’d a kid right now, so they don’t want to expose her so soon.”
Paparazzi account Viral Bhayani took to their official Instagram handle and shared a picture of Alia Bhatt, Ranbir Kapoor, and Neetu Kapoor, and revealed the couple’s decision.
A few years ago, cricketer Virat Kohli and actor Anushka Sharma issued a similar statement requesting paps to not click on their daughter Vamika’s pictures.
Even when her photos from inside a cricket stadium were shared on social media, Anushka requested media houses to not carry them.
Now, Alia too has made the request.

She told the photographers even if they spot Raha somewhere and click on her, they should not show her face.
Alia said: “If by chance Raha comes in any frame, please use a heart emoji or vada pav or bhajiya, but don’t reveal her face.”
To this, Ranbir added: “Even in cars, when you zoom in and if at all you click her, please don’t circulate those photos.
“This is till she grows and understands whether she wants to give pictures or not.
“I won’t object if you want to click our couple pictures.”
Several paparazzi accounts revealed that Ranbir showed them Raha’s pics on his phone.
Appreciating the gesture, a photographer said: “It was really nice that Ranbir gave his phone in everyone’s hand and all of us saw some four-five pictures of baby Raha.
“He mentioned that this was the first time he was showing these pictures to someone outside the family.”
Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor, who tied the knot in April 2022, welcomed their daughter Raha on November 6, 2022.
Alia took to her Instagram handle and announced the arrival of their baby.
The official statement read: “And in the best news of our lives: Our baby is here.. and what a magical girl she is.
“We are officially bursting with love – blessed and obsessed PARENTS!!!!!”
