"she is just so beautiful"
Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt treated their fans to a Christmas surprise as they finally revealed their daughter Raha Kapoor’s face.
The tiny tot was papped with her parents as they made their way to a Kapoor Christmas lunch and were met with eagerly waiting photographers.
Dressed in an adorable white dress complete with red shoes and pink bows in her hair, Raha was carried by Ranbir as she looked on in awe at the sea of people in front of her.
Fans have taken to social media to share their excitement at finally seeing Raha’s face and commented that she bears a striking resemblance to her grandfather, the late Rishi Kapoor and aunty Kareena Kapoor Khan.
One fan said: “She is already a star in her own right! Cute little angel. Ranbir looks very happy with his family.”
Another added: “Rishi Kapoor is coming back. Your father has come back in the form of a girl.”
A third said: “They kept her hidden for so long because she is just so beautiful.”
Alia and Ranbir have kept Raha away from the public eye since she was born and Alia recalled a memory on Koffee With Karan where she broke down after seeing her daughter’s face online.
Karan had questioned why Alia was adamant about keeping Raha hidden from her fans and she spoke of a time during the shooting of Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahani.
“At that time I remember I felt like a picture came out of her. It was a very difficult schedule for me because it was my first time shooting after giving birth.
“No matter what anybody says, it takes a long time for your body to bounce back. I wasn’t sleeping at night, I was feeding, and I was rushing in between shoots.
“I called Ranbir and told him I was finding it hard so he said he was going to come and pick Raha up.
“It was relaxing for me but it was also the first time I was separating from her [Raha] so I felt guilty, and that guilt carried on.
“It was one and a half days later that I travelled back and I saw a photo where the side of her face was kind of visible and I just broke down.
“I realise I wasn’t just breaking down because I didn’t want people to see her face.
“When we meet people Ranbir and I are like please give her your blessings. We are proud of our baby.
“But it was too many emotions put together and I’m so protective of my loved ones. I realise I was just exhausted and overwhelmed at that time.”
