Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt trolled for ‘Fake Chemistry’

A recent fan event organised in New Delhi saw actors Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt answer questions and talk about their upcoming film Brahmastra.

Alia Bhatt was seen wearing a red dress whilst Ranbir Kapoor wore a casual shirt, trousers and jacket ensemble.

As Ranbir and Alia shared the stage, they joked and poked fun at one another.

Alia Bhatt asked Ranbir Kapoor what ‘A’ means in his life to which the actor responded “Amitabh Bachchan”.

Viewers were quick to point out that the couple’s chemistry on-stage was ‘not natural’.

One user wrote: “This promotion was so off! So much awkwardness, no chemistry at all, was very boring.”

Another added: “He was telling the truth. A means nothing to him. Maybe Ayan Mukerji for sure definitely not Alia.”

A third user commented: “Attention seekers after Vic-Kat’s wedding.”

Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt have reportedly been dating since 2018.

While the Bollywood couple initially kept their relationship private, they soon declared their love for each other on social media.

According to reports, Ranbir and Alia were getting ready to tie the knot in 2020.

However, as a result of the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, their wedding plans were put on hold.

The discussion of Ranbir and Alia’s wedding also made its way to the motion poster launch event.

The couple answered questions put forward by fans during a Q&A session at the event.

Ranbir Kapoor read a question from a fan:

“When will you marry Alia or someone else?”

The actor smiled and replied:

“Haven’t we seen a lot of people getting married in the last year? I think we should be happy with that.”

He then turned towards Alia and asked: “When will we get married?”

Alia blushed and said: “Why are you asking me?”

Ranbir and Alia will share the screen for the first time in Ayan Mukerji’s Brahmastra.

The couple will be seen in the film alongside Amitabh Bachchan, Akkineni Nagarjuna, Dimple Kapadia and Mouni Roy.

Brahmastra will be released in cinemas on September 9, 2022.

Other than Brahmastra, Ranbir Kapoor has Shamshera, co-starring Vaani Kapoor and Sanjay Dutt, lined up.

The actor will also star in Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Animal, with Anil Kapoor and Parineeti Chopra.

Alia will next be seen in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Gangubai Kathiawadi and SS Rajamouli’s RRR.

She will also star in Darlings, which she is also producing.

Alia Bhatt will also be seen in Farhan Akhtar’s Jee Le Zaraa with Priyanka Chopra and Katrina Kaif.
