Singer and digital creator Mahtim Shakib has launched his new storytelling series Mahtim on the Mic on his new YouTube channel.

The first episode has already premiered and has generated positive feedback from fans.

Best known for his emotionally resonant songs and soft, expressive vocals, Mahtim now ventures into narrative storytelling formats.

In a short announcement video, he described the series as an effort to explore “real stories” through visuals, poetry, drama and music.

Mahtim said: “In this channel, I want to present real stories.”

The singer added that they may appear in varied creative formats.

He explained: “They might be told through different mediums, sometimes with pictures, sometimes with acting, or with poetry or music.

“Thus ‘Mahtim on the Mic’ is one such storytelling format I’m trying out. I have many more formats in mind.”

The singer concluded his message: “I hope you’ll stay with me on this journey.”

This series adds a new layer to the artistic identity of Mahtim, whose primary channel already enjoys over a million subscribers.

While he continues to produce musical content, the addition of a narrative channel reflects his growing appetite for creative diversity.

Born in Chattogram in 1999, Mahtim began his digital journey as a singer with a deeply melodic, soul-driven musical style.

He became a household name with hits like ‘Tumi Jantei Paro Na’, ‘Megh Balika’, ‘Pran Juriye Jay’, and ‘Ogo Tomar Akash Duti Chokhe’.

Over the years, Mahtim has built a strong online presence both at home and among Bengali-speaking audiences around the world.

His ability to blend storytelling and song has been a defining trait of his performances and visual content.

With Mahtim on the Mic, he now intends to spotlight authentic lived experiences using a blend of artistic tools and platforms.

His fans will see him move beyond music into formats that allow for deeper emotional and social engagement.

Many of them expressed praise for the singer’s new venture.

One said:

“Such a great idea. Looking forward to seeing more.”

Another wrote: “Warmest wishes on your new journey. I am deeply excited and feel fortunate to witness this wonderful step.

“May it bring light, hope, and countless hearts together.”

Though only one episode is out, early reactions suggest curiosity and enthusiasm from long-time fans of the singer.

Whether through melody or monologue, Mahtim Shakib’s focus on real life and emotions continues to drive his artistic journey.
